okay so I’m torn between two PCs. A Zoostorm PC that I had my heart set on and now I’ve just saw a PC specialist PC that I’m now considering. Disclaimer: I'm in no way an expert, I've just been researching the topic a bit lately as I'm in the market for a new PC myself, so this is just my opinion based on that reserch, I will not be held responsible for any wrongful purchases :smile: If I where to chose either of those 2 PCs I'd probably go with the Zoostorm as it has the larger SSD and the newer generation i7 (that from my research is the better of the 2 choices here, more future proof) the graphics card might not be as future proof as the RTX 2070 in the PC Specialist PC but that can be swapped out if it starts to have trouble running the newest games (a possible future Sims 5 maybe?) ..

@Arialisims If its still the way it was back in Sims 3, you'd need to activate the code in Steam and play it there before it would be allowed to get played in Origin. Which is not good if you have Origin base game. I think the best thing you can do is contact an EA help desk person (there should be an option of some sort on your Origin launcher) and find out how to go about it or if its possible to convert a steam code to Origin. I would think they could do it for you but I'm not sure.Also, your forum rank says member so you shouldn't have any trouble posting pictures or text. As far as I know, you are only restricted under the "New Member" rank and I don't think it stops you from making your own posts. Hope this helps you.

Either computer is a good computer, the zoostorm has a bit bigger SSD, still not big enough to game on, but bigger than the 120 (which will fill up so fast and I don't even know why they still put out PC's with such a small SSD). Both are complete overkill for Sims 4, as I'm sure you said that's all you played, right? So, either chose you decide on will be an improvement over your pc now, and both will have to have games installed on the larger HDD's.

But I want to order island life code from GameStop (I have gift card ), but in description online says you need steam, but I play Sims on origin ... So my question is, if I order GameStop DL code, can I use it in origin? Please someone who is sure give me an answer ,because id hate to waste $40.TIA :) :)

Sims 4 isn't on Steam, in any fashion. It's only on Origin.

You really don't need that fancy of a computer just for sims, however this computer will last you a LONG time so that's good. I have the equivalent of a 1060 for my graphics card and I can run everything on max settings with 60 frames per second, and I only paid around $700-800 for my computer.

I've seen you already purchased though, you probably could have gotten a better deal, but it's not a bad computer at all. It will more than suit your needs.

For the sims 4, it will be like cutting toast with a steak knife :)

(If it is in your budget range though, more power to you. You won't need to upgrade for a good long while for most games)

@Zeldaboy180 thanks for your comment and feedback! It’s nice to know it will last me a long time. Tbf I’ll play a few other games but it is mainly for sims.

Also question everybody,

Could I really not install Sims on a 250GB SSD? Is that really not enough storage?

For sims 4 is SSD vs HDD much different that I would be missing out on noticeable difference?
