A question about rotational playing and animal aging

In the options menu there is a box that will either cause the animals to age or not.  What I am doing is only aging the household that I am currently playing, while everyone else is not.  I only want the current family's animals to age that I am playing, while all other animals not to age.

My question is do I stop animal aging by unclicking the animal aging box or do I allow aging for animals?

  • I also play rotationally and I only age the active household that I am playing and my horses, dogs and cats age while I am playing the household that they belong to.  What I found (and it was sad) was that my farm animals, cow, llama, and chickens died when I came back to the farm.  So they were aging when I wasn't playing that household.  So now I have it unchecked and I don't think my farm animals are aging but my other animals (the ones that are part of the household) are aging while I am playing them.  I haven't been back to the farm to know if Grim will show up when I get back, but while I was there, they had a chick and the chick is still a chick -- it never grew into a chicken.
