Mine stayed whole and healthy until the season changed and they were no longer “in season”. That was when they reverted to plain dirt piles but I think that’s how it’s supposed to work??
Could be worth noting my seasons are only seven days long, but even that short a time was enough to notice an early reversion before the patch/fix
@NRowe yes, plants are supposed to revert to dirt piles when the season changes & they are no longer "in season." - PandoraTO2 years agoSeasoned Ace

Are trees also supposed to revert to dirt piles when out of season? My trees are turning to dirt piles, but it's been so long since gardens functioned normally that I can't be sure whether this is normal. I seem to remember that out-of-season trees used to just lose their leaves. Am I imagining that? - leucosiax2 years agoSeasoned Aceyeah I with plants would not revert to dirt piles because they are out of season. I don't think dirt piles should be a thing in the game and pretty certain its a glitch
@Pandora189 they used to be trees that are out of season. Plants should look the same. - OldeSimsFan2 years agoSeasoned AceMy primary game installation does NOT have Seasons installed, yet my plants revert to dirt piles on a regular basis. Usually after they have been watered/weeded/fertilized. This includes trees. Have learned the hard way to harvest first, tend plants second.

Still have a few dirt piles left and no option to harvest money plants at all but I can harvest everything else
@LuvtehGeeks from what I remember you can only sell money fruit; which makes sense, after all you're growing the money tree to get money lol. - Luvtehgeeks2 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Starfree I could have sworn money tree's were harvestable, my other save Mel has 51 money fruits in her inventory. I want to plant them all LoL. :D
- djsboonie2 years agoSeasoned Ace@LuvtehGeeks hmmm... I've never noticed an option for harvesting the money trees, just to sell them. Now I'm curious so I'll just have to get one & see LOL.
- Lucy_Henley2 years agoSeasoned AceI hate it when plants turn to dirt piles in their off seasons. It’s why I’ve had the “Gardening for all Seasons” mod for ages!
- @Lucy_Henley I have it also. Love it!
- OldeSimsFan2 years agoSeasoned AceThat just got added to my tiny mods to get list. Where may it be found?
