Antique Jeweled Ring (Spoiler Alert!)

Ok, so I had my sim put on the Antique Jeweled Ring and she got the "Heir of Desire" curse.  I tried using a Potion of Curse Cleansing (RoM EP) on her, but it did NOT remove the curse!?!

Short of completing a Fortune Aspiration and selecting "Remove Curse" afterwards (As it says to do),  or the "Untamed" spell "Decursify" or the "Right of Dissolution" from one of the Mage Sages, how the bleepity bleep bleep do I remove this curse from my sim???  My sim who is a Mage, KNOWS the Untamed spell, "Decursify", but can't cast it on herself even though now she's cursed???  Or in the case of the "Right of Dissolution" from one of the Sages NOT working to remove the curse, just as the "Potion of Curse Cleansing" did not work itself.  Plus what's this I'm reading about how the "Heir of Desire" curse coming back repeatedly, even when removed using the Fortune Aspiration "Remove Curse" solution itself???

Sorry for the spoiler but I DID try to warn people in this post's heading!

ANY advice on how to remove this curse I'd really appreciate!! (I really don't want to do the Fortune Aspiration cure with this sim!) THANK YOU!!!

    simsimsere​ No, I hadn't tried that yet.  So I just did.  Removed the ring completely from all clothing categories.  It removed the ring.  But not the curse.  Decursify is still not an option to cast on herself though she knows the spell.  And a potion of Curse Cleansing still did nothing.  In fact it said she was not under any curses when yes, she very much IS!  *Head-to-keyboard-repeatedly*

    But thank you for suggesting that!  I just wish it had worked!

    The ONLY way to remove the ring curse is to follow the method detailed by the game.
    Realm of Magic curse removal isn't working because it can only clear curses from that pack.

    serendipity38​  Given the way that Maxis creates packs, the solution to your issue is more than likely, going to be somewhere in the gameplay for R&L.  So, my suggestion is to concentrate your search for a solution there.  Idk the exact answer for you as I haven't come across that ring yet.

    CGrant56​ thank you very much for trying to help me out here.  And rk1f95t9hclc​ thank you very much as well!  What you've told me here is likely true.  But I'm really hoping it's not. *Sighs* I put a lot of work into this sim and I really, really don't want to do one of the Fortune Aspirations for her...
