Are parents, divorced, relevant in your game?

I have some single parent families but made that way in CAS. I usually do not divorce sims, although i have before.

Sometimes my sims divorce, but it's always a simple step: they divorce, then one of them leave, and often they don't see each other anymore besides an occasional party where all family gets together.

My sims barely ever get married, let alone divorce. :lol:

I try not to. I have had friends in real life get divorced with having grounds to do it. Sims are either married or live as single parents in my saves.

No D.I.V.O.R.C.E in my game. I have single parents, step-parents, foster parents, married parents, family member guardian & adopted parent.

Depends on the details, I guess. I don't really divorce my sims. I honestly think the last time I did was Sims 2, but I think I have broken up some NPC marriages in 4. Regardless, I don't go out of my way to really keep out of household relationships going so they probably do get neglected.

In real life, my parents' divorce was a super positive thing for the family (no no-fault divorce to be found here) and we started celebrating the divorce date in place of their old anniversary. So I do not really consider divorce a negative thing.

I have one divorced couple. They had a daughter who stayed with the father after the divorce. Then I have few couples who had kids and broke up later but they were never married.

My sims hardly ever "Divorce" so to say

do they separate? surely sometimes

but thats probably cause one of them died tragically or one of the parents is absolute psycho... or both

soo... yeah.
its usually just one of the parents taking care of the kid maybe with some other relatives

i havent really had many "clean" divorces where it would make sense to juggle the kid between parents

and when they do divorce its usually before kids or if there is kids its likely i just wanted to steal someones spouse for my own sim family and kids stay with the other parent

Not all my sims marry and by chance I don't have divorced couples. I do have a couple who were engaged, had two kids and then broke up. I also have single parents, but it's not very common in my game to break up once they got kids. It's just so much hassle to plan out everything, but sometimes I go through it. The couple I mentioned, the father has the custody, but the kids visit their mother every other weekend.

My parents very rarely divorce, but that's mostly because drama rarely happens naturally. When a divorce does happen, I really love having the kids split weekends and holidays with the other parent.
