i have this one family that was in complete disarray;
Jerry Darrow married Rachel. Rachel had Tiffany and later on Chester and the marriage was solid for about 12 years. Shortly before Chester was conceived, Jerry was seeing another woman behind Rachel's back and Rachel had suspicions that something was going on. Jerry was seeing Hanifa and it turns out she had a child with Jerry, a boy called Aziz. Around the same time Chester was an embryo inside Rachel, Jerry also got Hanifa Pregnant again with a girl, Naziha.
Rachel found out about the cheating and bigamy and began a lawsuit for divorce, it became a very messy affair, Chester was born but Rachel and Jerry were more interested in fighting each other for what they wanted and this left the teenager Tiffany to look out for her toddler brother. Months after Rachel launched her legal challenge, she was courted by this fiery Latino, Juan Pablo Navasco. Although he has some minor gothic features about himself and was a lot younger, a toyboy. Juan Pablo wanted to marry Rachel despite her playing hard to get.
The court case was finalised and it was a bitter end to the marriage between Jerry who gave up rights to the house to Rachel, but he came away with a bit of money he had stashed away and made a clean break with it. Jerry married Hanifa and converted to her spiritual values so he can be recognised by Hanifa's family as being worthy and to remain on her wave length. Rachel eventually married Juan Pablo and had a son, Raul, he was born a year after Chester.
Tiffany took Chester when she was legally old enough to look out for herself and applied to be the parent to Chester, due to the unusual circumstances the request was granted although ordinarily it wouldn't, but because Chester became so clingy and imprinted strongly on Tiffany as if she was the mother, Tiffany took it on herself to look out for him and because he wanted no one else.
Tiffany ended up marrying into the powerful Vinchelli family through Giancarlo a few years later when she aged up, this took a lot of the load off Tiffany when Giancarlo can help raise Chester like his own son. Chester is also opening up to his adoptive family and it's helped greatly by Maria Vinchelli, the mother of Giancarlo, she has a lot of experience with children and loves being around them, so she has welcomed Chester like her own son, she has been a strong stabilising influence for Tiffany and given her a lot of insights into being a parent which has helped a lot with Chester.

I have another household that is on the verge of flying apart; The Wiezincinski family. Marcin has grown increasingly more isolated and despondent after his wife Karolina developed mental disorders, this adversely affected her mental and physical health. So bad is her health, she has bulimia, a rather severe form, she spends most of her days wasting away and her relationship with Marcin is fraying to the point Marcin is thinking about a divorce. The only thing keeping Marcin from going that step is his son, Josef. Josef has tried almost everything he can to work as a bridge between his mother and father but he is running out of chances to try fix the issue. Soon enough Josef will have to leave his parents too it and move on.
Unfortunately Josef's wife is displaying her own mental instability, although not as severe, Heidi is often found chatting to herself like she has an imaginary friend and sometimes displays split emotional states which makes her somewhat unpredictable on occasion. For the most part she is in control of herself, but when on her own, she lets the guard down.
Josef wonders if he will be able to start a family with Heidi or if she is going down the same path Karolina is, Josef is keeping a watchful eye on his wife out of genuine concern for her well being and hopes she doesn't slip away into her own mind altogether one day.
