- Yeah I was hoping if they did a pack like this they would do half of the world under the sea and then the other half on a beach front
- Lonewolf10446 years agoSeasoned SpectatorNo, Sims 4 is not Sims 3 however for me not being able to follow your diver in Sims 4 as it was Sims 3 shows me how much EA/Maxis has pushed Sims 4 backwards. From the smallest details to the biggest details Sims 4 lack an whole lot.
- I haven't really seen many people constantly using the diving lot from The Sims 3 fourms. It is a surprise to me that majority of them are disappointed!

Actually because you may not seen many use it do not get it twisted as that was an option and to just wipe out that is disappointing. - Sara1010p6 years agoRising RookieI vote yes because other people wanted it. I was not impressed with the diving in sims 3, I though it was pretty boring after one or two times doing it, so I am not bothered by not being able to do it in Sims 4, but I am disappointed on behalf of those that did want it included.
- OldeSimsFan6 years agoNew TravelerThe purpose of diving is to see what is down there and interact with it in some way. What's the point of having something with no purpose?
- Not in the least. Water sports and beach activities are not my forte. I can't even remember the last time my sims were in a pool. :p The one thing I actually enjoyed in Island Paradise was the resort feature. Never played in the world, never played the mermaids, didn't like living on a houseboat, never tried the lifeguard career. I've already evicted all of the Sulani residents and plan on adding all commercial/community lots where I can take my sims on day trips or weekend visits. I'll also do the Conservationist career. But from Brindleton Bay. :)
- I'm indifferent, I owned Island Paradise but I hardly got a chance to play in that world without serious lag. And when I did the underwater lots, while pretty were kinda lacking imho.
- keekee536 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI thought I wasn't going to be disappointed. I thought they were going to have other more engaging things to do but ummm snorkel and diving could have been completely left out with what they put in the game. If they would have had some underwater features like checking the coral or spear fishing, I would have been happier. Mermaids should have at least had one underwater lot for sure.
When they are leaving stuff out, I expect something else to be added. I would have been happy if they added like volley ball on the beach or marco polo in the water or more than one sim on the water vehicles, surfing on a wave(not a wave machine)....you know replace what you got rid of with something innovative and new. - Sara1010p6 years agoRising Rookie

It isn't boring if you're creative. You can using scuba diving as part of the marine biologist active career in TS3. Or run your own active fish market and restaurant for self-employment. It can be part of a mermaid story as well. Those things are a lot of fun with scuba diving in TS3. It is also an actual part of two quests to discover two hidden islands.
Island Living has so little in it that people are already getting bored with it. It would have been nice to have at least one scuba diving lot so that you can have an active career. I also don't understand why the lifeguard career is a rabbithole too. That was a missed opportunity as well.

I get that you liked the diving in Sims 3. I did not and it has nothing to do with not being creative. I simply didn't find it fun. I loved many things about Sims 3, diving was not one of them. Even so I would have wanted it included for those that did want to be able to dive.
