- Unless it’s the Sims 2, with new graphics and new additional features.
I’m talking neighbourhoods we can edit completely, being able to place lots, TS2 apartments (expansion pack), hobbies, attraction systems, cars, burglars, cops, story mode. I’d be happy for it to look more or less like Sims 4, and I love CAS as it is.
TS5 needs to begin as a PC game and have a team who really want to develop an immersive game true to the series. Not a glitchy half-assed effort like we’ve been seeing. - Ready as ever! I would gladly volunteer as a hardcore alpha/beta tester to send out as many bug reports possible to ensure a polished release.
- It was hard to choose an answer here! I loved TS2 & 3 for the gameplay, but I'm such a graphics snob that I keep going back to TS4. Don't get me wrong, it's great for building, and I find don't need a lot of CC for CAS (my computer is grateful), but I just wish the sims themselves were more interesting. On the assumption that maxis have learnt from past experiences, and don't try another Olympus, S5 may have a better base game (starting with toddlers and pools) and the capability to code expanded gameplay. With that and how much technology has changed, I'm keen to see how the sims team will handle S5.
However, new sims games are always too expensive for me to buy right away (I waited until Uni for S3, and just before the toddler patch for S4) so I'm hoping S4 will keep me occupied until then. I'm also a little tired of waiting for the same expansions, as S4's dev cycle really feels so much longer. I guess my answer is a mix between if sims 4 gets a traits/emotions overhaul sometime this year, I'll be perfectly happy with it, but if not, I think I'll be ready to move on. - I hate endings. lol
- DeKaythePUNK6 years agoSeasoned VanguardYes, please. The game engine is just terrible. I can't. And don't even get me started with the patches causing more and more bugs to be added. ?♀️ Makes my gaming experience so not smooth and it really grinds my gears since I play to have fun, not to get mad.
- SweetieWright_846 years agoNew SpectatorI'm not ready to move on just yet; maybe another couple of years or more. That being said, when TS4 was released, I bought it close to release but still played TS3 more. I'm a creature of habit so it takes a while for me to change or move on. Right now, TS4 is my comfort zone, and I like my comfort zone :).
- simmyfroggy6 years agoNew SpectatorI can't help but think: okay, but with TS5, we'll be starting from scratch all over again. I have so much still to explore in TS4 and am having tons of fun doing so, so I'm nowhere near ready to re-learn how the new installment will work. Add to that a little worry about a possible MMO direction for the next one (maybe unwarranted, maybe not) and it keeps me firmly in the "nope, I'm good with the game that I love" camp.
- elliebreton6 years agoSeasoned Ace... it totally wows me and has some awesome features not currently available.
- I’m excited for TS5, but I would like to see at least a few more expansions for TS4 first.
- I feel I'm not ready to move on just yet. I hope that they have patience in EA also and the next game will be better and the basegame bigger than what we had in TS4... I'd rather wait longer and have a great game than have the same issues we had with TS4 (not having toddlers for plums sake!). Atm I'm just hyped about RoM and waiting for University and something more for other life stages than YA.
If TS5 will be as YA centered as TS4 has been so far I ain't spending no money on it and will just continue with 4.
