It looks like I will be getting my 60s outfits started in the NoCC-decates outfits thread in a few days. Might be a good time to clean out some old mods as well.
The patch is one hour before the Reaper Week 5 begins.
I got that wrong - the patch is one hour AFTER at 1:00 pm EST and the Reaper event is supposed to start at noon,
Are you sure? According to the in game countdown, Reaper’s Rewards Week 5 starts in less than an hour at 9AM PT & according to the Sims Community website the base game update will launch an hour later at 10AM PT.
Are there any patch notes yet? I can't find any but I'm not sure where I should be looking!
It's so annoying that they don't post them AT THE SAME TIME as the patch, it would be way more convenient. I lose an hour waiting everytime because I like to know what's in the patch before playing.
I miss when they were posted along the top of the forums, I like to know what I'm looking for all together.

Interestingly, this update has upgraded me to DirectX11. Something that was never an option for to me to use before. While using DirectX11, i can't switch between the game and other programmes i have running at the same time.
Yes you can. Go to the screen options in the game settings. Between Full Screen and Window Mode, there is a third option, something like "Full Screen Window". Select this and you can change to desktop again.
For a fleeting moment I was so happy that there might be a solution, but OMG that was awful! It completely broke everything the moment I tried to change windows. Nope, going back to DX9 again!
I went to create a date and it sent me back to the world screen:
That happened to me just in trying to get into my lot. I did a game repair. The game then loaded for ages, so I did a hard stop and repaired the game again. Second time, all was well with my game. I wish you the same good luck.
GalacticGalSadly, after the first repair game i was booted back to the select world screen. Interestingly, after being booted back to the select world screen, the lot i want them to go to for their date shows as "incomplete" which i know it isn't:
