I had that problem earlier, turns out that if you take pictures while playing the game in windowed mode the pictures that you take are blurry. I changed to full screen and they where ok. It was a PITA to figure out that one.
Bummer, that would have been a quick thing to fix if that had been the answer."SimAlexandria;c-17200703" wrote:

Thanks :) weird haha.
Jupp, I was pretty much at the point of tearing out my hair in tufts :D :) - Loves2draw1812New NoviceAh so it IS a bug.
Thought I was going mad here, all the photos are coming out awful, yet are classed as 'outstanding'.
Selfies are good quality though....*sigh*
I've tried full screen mode, still getting blurry/frizzy pics.
You'd with a pack focused on photography they'd, oh I don't know, make sure the photography element works :| - SilentK008Seasoned Newcomer

I still think that my pictures are a little blurry but it is much better than before when was still playing in windowed mode. I am waiting to see other players pics in threads to do some evaluation. I'll keep my eyes on this thread. - I'm playing on fullscreen always and my sim has maxed photography skill but photos taken ingame always look awful.
They are so pixelated and low resolution that I actually already lost interest in the new freelancer career.
Why would I put time and effort into creating nice photographs if they end up super pixelated and just bad looking anyway. - SimmervilleSeasoned Ace

I'm having this issue too. Playing on ultra settings, using tripot, max photo skill, best camera. Pictures are outstanding but when I view them on the wall they are blurry. (both Sims and Background) HOWEVER, this has been happening before the tripod came out for me too. Started happening around the time of the patch the other day (but I can't say for sure if it was related to it)
Does it happen to photos taken before that patch too, or only photos taken after the patch? "Simmerville;c-17201573" wrote:

I will double check that when I get home from work tonight but i believe only ones taken after. I have a few photos on my wall taken before that were crystal clear so I will see if they still are i took them about 2 weeks ago- Loves2draw1812New NoviceWent and took some random photos. I can't find any other screenshots for comparison...is the quality of image supposed to look like that?
All of the photos are classed as 'outstanding', but they look a lower res image of the sim. I've my settings on high for the sim models.
https://i.imgur.com/DWPKrma.png - I have the same problem. On some pictures you can't really tell, mostly when there's a lot going on in the background that distracts your eye ^^ I also noticed a little bit of lagging once I stop taking pictures. Takes around 2-5 seconds and everything runs smoothly again.

I wonder if this could be because of some graphic card issues on certain cards. Probably not though.
I have a new gaming computer. I think it should be fine? The photos had no issues before the last patch for me- akl1226New Spectator

Same issue here. Glad I’m not alone with the random lag. And I noticed my small pictures (medium and large look pretty good) are blurry and fuzzy looking. Since I never took photos really before the patch I wouldn’t have thought anything of it until I saw this thread. Hope both issues are fixed soon. The lag is just annoying but still needs a fix.
