Was holding a handbag an option for all sims in TS2 or was Agnes just special and had her own NPC animations?

Agnes had own special animations/interactions. She at TS2 is not even a sim (no character data) , but an object (located at objects.package in installation location ).
Its interesting to hear this! But I think that's why npc in sims 2 functioned better. The fact that they are sims in ts4 makes they act like any other sim. Like if you speak to the tragic clown he might end up in your house playing the pc lol
While I do appreciate the option to add NPCs to your household and edit them in CAS, I do think that truly non-playable sims that come with their own set of code and unique interactions/traits could add some more fun to the game"Simmingal;c-17755618" wrote:

I think only she was allowed to hold her handbag cutely and knit and other sims couldn't reach her level of fabulous
also I don't think ts2 and 1 npcs could really be played without cheats or mods (then again i was probably too young to really understand how the game works)

BUT she is not even safe to play/add in household even with cheats. Do that, and you have corrupted the whole game, not just the hood (TS4 terms "save" ) you are playing at :)

yeah many ts4 npc just feel like normal sim in costume and it annoys me to no end
especially when its random townie in costume like say father winter for example
you make friends not with father winter but with some chap called clement and that irritates me makes them feel so infinitely replaceable and boring
I do like how they did vlad though so perhaps its more issue of double identities with other so called npc- I dont even want to see the damage done when she walks into a neighborhood with the "free love" NAP
- She had an automatic action where she would stand around and knit. There must be a tie-in waiting to happen with that knitting pack.

Well, sure....now that we HAVE knitting .... :D- I say yes, I always loved that in Sims 2 she hunted down any Sims having a romantic interaction. She would beat my teen Sims up with a purse. She would not leave one couple alone, so I had them ditch her in a crowd, and she got so mad when she couldn't get to them through all the people.
I would love to see that in Sims 4. - Yeah, she's an iconic Sim and would be awesome in the game.
- That would be so fun!
- She's my favorite censorship NPC. <3 Plus it would be funny having her and forcing Sims to social distance.
