Can Dine Out be reworked like the vet system in Cats and Dogs?

I'm going to assume this would be a big rework but I'm wondering if it's possible? Considering you can take a hands off approach as a vet and the restaurant management is already that way I'd love to ...

I know when it first came out I was pretty let down that my chef couldn't actually cook. It'd be nice to have your family help out as the waitstaff and stuff. Makes the idea of owning a family run restaurant more believable if you can actually hire your family.
