Can you remove holidays in TS4 Seasons?

I seen you can create your own holidays, but Is it possible to remove the already made holidays- christmas, halloween etc?
  • Yes I remove them and make my own. I do like the freedom with it so it doesn't force days on us. I do enjoy Talk like a Pirate day. I like during the summer time I can give the kids a summer vacation.

There is a custom mod too here:

Such a shame though that there are some you cannot delete like meet a celebrity days , I have either removed ones i can or edited them , I certainly don't need a day for them to fight each other
  • I always edit harvestfest to get rid of the gnomes but I leave the rest

I alwaays add in Easter so that the flower bunny will visit and my sims can hunt for eggs.

I usually add in a summer vacation where the only tradition is taking a day off work/school so that my sims don't have to go to these places for a week straight haha

Yep all of them have been deleted in my calendars. The holidays are too American for my liking especially the harvestfest one as I believe only USA and maybe Canada??? celebrate thanksgiving same with summerfest being like a 4th July type holiday.

I'm Canadian, we celebrate it here about 6 weeks earlier than USA. It's also celebrated in China, Japan, South Korea, Ausralia, Grenada, Brazil, Netherlands, Liberia, UK, Germany and the Phillipines as well as a few others. I believe 17 countries celebrate it BUT it's not celebrated the same way in all countries, nor on the same date. Some call it more of a Harvest festival. And it's more popular in some countries than others. The summer holiday thing we have in Canada too and many other countries, though not always the same date. In Canada we celebrate July 1st, same with Rwanda. Not sure the date of other countries.

Thanks for clarifying for me. I live in the uk I’ve never known anyone celebrate it. If they do it’s not a well established holiday/event. For us in the autumn it’s Halloween and bonfire night/guy fawkes night. We have a summer bank holiday which is tomorrow but as it’s in the school holidays it’s not as big as our May ones. I do love the calendar to make my sims the holidays I want them to have it’s very customisable.

Yes I have a lot of family in UK and I get mixed on whether it's celebrated. It's there, but much much smaller and more just with certain churches or something I think? You'd likely know more haha. I could google it but it's almost 1am and I'm just heading to bed hahhaa! Our May holidays are not too big here, mostly July 1st is big which is also school holidays. School holidays here go from end of June-after labour day in Sept.
