Wow, that's good to know. I was prepared to have my Sims choose the cooking branch, because she wants to be a Chef, but I never saw any popup where I had to select which branch. She's currently a mixologist where she works. But, so long as she can become a chef in the long run, I don't really mind her having the mixology skills. Sometimes it's necessary to match a drink to the meal. Any good chef would know this, I suppose.

They really need to fix this ASAP

This was honestly a huge turn-off for me. I love being able to 'solo', to complete everything I can with one Sim. Not being able to do both branches of a career just seems like a really strange choice.

And before the forum hall monitors start hollering 'nerco', yes, we know, it's an old thread. But it just shows that this is just yet another thing that was never fixed.

Yeah, just discovered this myself. Nothing has changed.

I got Eliza up to Angel Investor, then I was going to switch to Manager. Same with Bob, did the Mixologist branch with the intent of going to Chef. No dice. Not the end of the world, but still pretty lame. I mean, it is good I can get my Business job back any time at the Corporate Raider (9) slot. Still.

Its okay though. I see Bob as more pro-gamer type.

I figured out a way to do this that is a bit complicated and annoying, but it worked. It's going to take a lot of cheats, especially is your sim as certain levels of skills and relationships built up.

So first you're going to have to get your family into the CAS menu during normal gameplay.

Then, you're going to have to make sure that you save your household to your gallery, this is important.

Next go to the gallery and take the household that you just saved and add it to it to your current household. It will download all of the sims in your household already. Be sure to delete the sims that you do not need doubles of.

Once the only duplicates you have are the sim you need to fix, delete the original sim (the messed up one). You can do this by clicking on the sim like you are about to edit them and click the x that will appear over their head icon.

After that you can leave CAS and everything will look the same. Your skills, aspiration accomplishment, and public image should all still be the same. The only things that will reset are your career and relationships.
