I've tried several, including good ol' cas.fulleditmode, which usually is what I use for this, but it's no longer working? More complicated cheats I found are also not working. Nothing will let me change the family relationship cause it's "pre-existing". I do NOT want to create a whole new save or duplicate the household or anything like that, as I'm playing a lot of inter-connected households and that would lose those relationships as well. I don't know why full edit mode isn't working, but in the meantime, is there a quick and easy way change a family relationship?

I'm not having any issues using the cas.fulleditmode cheat. Are you also entering the testingcheat on cheat?

I had family relationships get messed up twice where cas.fulledit wouldn't fix it. I had to use MCCC to fix the relationship and then I removed MCCC from my folders again as I don't play with it. That fixed the problem for me and it was really easy and painless.

I've had the game do that to me before, specifically when I tried to add the Pancakes' toddler to the Pancakes I already had in the game. The game recognized that the toddler already had parents, so I couldn't just change them, I needed to make the kid unrelated to its current parents, then add the new relationships. It was a pain in the butt and I ended up just switching out the whole family, which you said you don't want to do.There may not be an easy way to do it, but if you can, find the Sim's parents and make them unrelated first.

I just remember something I do when I just can't get the family connection to save, I will save the sim(s) in my library, and then use the copies to reestablish the family connection.

Yes, of course. It says cheats are enabled, but when I enter CAS, some relationships are still locked because you "cannot edit preexisting sims."

Thanks @Dianabearz and @Catzilla, I'm not playing with MCCC right now cause it hasn't been updated yet for the latest patch I don't think (I keep checking it daily, so I'll def get on that as soon as I can lol). But in the meantime I was wondering if there were any other options.

Really??! Cause it says "changes needed" on the latest download option. I thought that meant "there are changes that still need to be made." Y'know, cause it's not "changes were needed"? Present tense, not past. But if it's actually functional and ready then I'll go get that right away! Thank you!

Cas.fulleditmode only lets me change the sims weight. It doesn't work to change relashionships:(

I see what you mean, I read it as the reason for the release was changes needed for the new version, programmers can be a bit terse sometimes (I should know, I used to be one, lol)

It does also say though 'This has been tested to be working with...and the patch released June 18, 2019 – PC 1.52.100.1020 / Mac 1.52.100.1220'
