Constant Updates

Is there some type of update schedule? So I can prepare to stay offline... It seems like there's pack every month and the updates break my game every time. Yes I back up save, but it's becoming so frustrating.

Stopped playing for a few months, started back last week... BOOM another update. Even when I was offline. I hate playing now.

Any schedule for updates or more packs that drops? It seem like every 3-4 weeks there's an update that doesn't really fix anything

That's probably the best option. There's lots of amazing games to play. 😊

  • I feel you though Outtajail. There are sooooooo many awesome CC that I would just love to use in my game, mostly "addons" that matches what already exists in the game like couches to match the chairs and vice versa and so on. But like others have said here, with each update it is a pain to have to keep updating our mods and cc every time. The risk of them breaking our games just adds more headaches to the updates that do enough to break them. So, I played vanilla to save on the added headaches until they broke the game again to where it is pointless to play until fixed.

I knew a long time ago that I didn't need mods or CC to enjoy my game. There's plenty of fun to be had with base game and the packs. Also means I don't have to worry about sorting out mods. I just want to have fun and not do chores so to speak 😂

  • Like CrispySims619 said, there is no schedule. If updating is a huge hassle for you, I would recommend playing without CC (custom content). Then the frequent updates should be no issue. Stay with the official packs, and avoid CC. If you still want some CC use just a few items and from creators you trust an update their stuff fast.

Hello there 0uttajail. There is no update schedule for patches in The Sims 4. The Sims team do not usually announce major patches very far in advance. It's recommended that you check the offical Sims social media channels as they normally announce major patches or hot fix patches closer to the time they are finalised.

The patches do usually fix a whole wide range of issues, but unfortunately just like any other game that has patches there is always the chance of some new issues slipping into the game. Since The Sims 4 is a live-service game, frequent patches are excpected.
