From what i've seen of some of the game changers videos, we're not getting them. Bach parties, rehearsal dinners, and family gatherings are all the same thing with different names. You can choose what you want them to do at said parties from a list(same list for all new parties) like you do for holiday traditions but none of them are party dancers.
um nope they AREN'T the same thing "with different names"
From what I saw of the different parties in this video they were all pretty much the same.:

She even mentions it in the video at around the 19:25 mark. They could add different stuff to differentiate the party types before release, and I could be completely wrong, but from what i'm seeing here, they are. Don't get me wrong I would love to be wrong but it doesn't look that way. As of right now at least. - AstroX1424Seasoned Newcomer

Sure looks like they are to me. As are a lot of interactions and activities throughout the game, same thing different names. - Serendipity0578Seasoned Hotshot

The "new" parties all look essentially the same to me too. The Bach parties are particularly disappointing. Bach parties are limited to: giving toasts, dancing, having drinks, eating desserts, and a celebration feast. Things that you can already do in base game.

I stress Family, 'cause that is who was there, everybody who was over about 12, grandparents, parents, adults, teens. They said "leave the little bitty kids at home 'cause we'll be up late" and oh boy, they were not only up late, but also there was major drinking going on. My cousin, who was 19, wore a dress that was mostly a short smock that covered the front and back. There was no fabric on the sides and the gap was about 5 inches, all the way from armpit to the short bottom of the skirt. It was held together in a couple of strategic places with gold chains - and no, she didn't wear stockings or underwear. Her mother had helped her redesign the dress specifically for this party! At about 11 pm she wound up on top of a table and danced up there the rest of the night, pulling various male cousins and uncles (even her brothers) up to dance with her. My parents got home about 2 am. Now I wasn't there, but all those cousins who were over 12 were, and nobody cared.
Seriously, kids see way worse than the Sim 1 cake dancer/stripper on TV, movies, and in their other games. - rlc77Seasoned Novice

Sims 3 bachelor(ette) parties gave us dancers, people spraying champagne, and just a very festive, fun atmosphere. All sorts of drama could happen. A tea party atmosphere is not nearly as much fun. It would be nice to have an option for a bit more of a wild time.
Yes, those Sims 3 parties would go on until the next morning and everybody would be passed out on the floor at the end. So much fun! The Sims 4 is sorely lacking in fun. - crocobauraSeasoned Ace

I doubt that would happen it would be too much like having humour in the game. Still I'm going to put the clothing optional lot on on my stag nights and that way there will be strippers and lots of sexy dancing :D If someone had offered me tea on my hen night I would have beaten them to death with the teapot.
I have been thinking of ways to spice up those parties. Clothing optional is one way to do it. If the party is by the pool they will change into their swimsuits. Then there's the university juice keg. And juice pong. Fire dancing. If all else fails just set the stove on fire and wait for the firemen to show up. "EternalSunshine;c-18062920" wrote:

I consider it worth getting the pack just for the fact that these new events are customizeable, which opens the door for modders to add things to the list of available choices. The current event system is lacking in that you can add more event types, but each event type is still always exactly the same. This changes that.
I use a mod that adds several dozen new club activities, and another that adds a bunch of new things for Holidays. I guess now I will need to be watching for a mod that adds many new party activities for events.- Serendipity0578Seasoned Hotshot

I can see the parties in the pack having some potential value with mods. But, for my vanilla game it's really disappointing. If I do get the pack, I will probably try to use the club system to make the Bach parties more interesting. - 83bienchenSeasoned NoviceIf the people at EA aren't capable of doing proper programming, they should maybe consider to collaborate with modders for fixing bugs and oversights instead of releasing a bare shell in the hope of modders getting something worthwile out of it.
- JanuaryGarnet08New SpectatorIt would have been fun to have a giant cake that you could hire the NPC of your choice to hop out of and dance at the bach party. Like how you hired bartender or musician.
