- @Rawla - it's just a false flag. I know they bother people, but it's best to just ignore them; you know you're not a spammer, so that's what matters. (If you're ever not actually sure if something is spam, just compare it to the forum rules. If you didn't break any, you're good, and someone's just being a dick to you.)
Re: The lighting - I am getting used to the dimmer rooms where I'm forced to use cheap light fixtures. (My game's on a Custom/Medium graphics setting, so I don't have the super-best shots anyway.) I've always been a big fan of windows over artificial lights anyway, and I'm coming to discover the dimmer rooms look more like my actual, real life home (I only have cheap lights here, too ^^; ), especially at night. It's warm and mellow, with brighter light during the day.
Strangely, I have an access staircase to a rooftop patio that absolutely FLOODS my top floor with daylight. It's way TOO bright in some respects. (I'll have screenshots up soon, and I can show you an example then, if you'd like.)
At this point, my only "complaint" with the lighting is the small number of options for more expensive, brighter lights - I keep having to reuse the same couple of bright lights everywhere in my builds, and that's not going to work once I'm doing build challenges that have a cost restriction. I also added a lot of lights but did anyone notice a spike in their bills when they added more lights?
Yes! This would be normal. Both your utility use (more electricity) and your property value go up when you add more lights. :)- halimali11 years agoSeasoned Ace

I still think the standard lights should be brighter though. Just because they're cheaper it doesn't mean your house should be a dungeon.
I totally agree in that too - halimali11 years agoSeasoned AceI will be playing this weekend so after playing I will tweet every sim guru about this. I don't think this is a difficult thing for them to adjust. Many players have expressed that indoor lights are not bright enough. its too dim.

You don't have to. I am already aware of this "issue" :)- Lol that is handy :-)
- There's an overhead light (the cheapest one) that gives off a TON of light. In my small starter house, just needed to get 5 and the house is bright and cheerful (and the light spills out into her yard). She has 1 in her bedroom, 1 in the bath, 1 in the living room, 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the entry (walls separating most).

THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I'm glad now that you are aware. I can't wait for the game. Very much excited.
I and so many other players would really appreciate it if the indoor lighting is tuned.
Outdoor lighting is amazing, it is perfect. Just indoor needs to be upped more. "halimali1980;12589897" wrote:

As I explained in an previous thread, its not the lighting per se, it's that we have different max intensity per lamp, like in real life. So certain lamps will be brighter than others. I do see how that can be problematic for some though, so I'll be reconsidering this and see if we should have the same maximum intensity for all lamps instead.
I like your Sims btw!- Thank you so much @SimGuruMeatball!
