- LaBlue0314Rising ScoutNo strollers. What I do is if there is a toddler I bring to a festival or community lot, I will go into build mode, and place a potty, and other toddler-friendly items for their conveniences. If it gets to still be too much for them, I just send them off to daycare.
- I do the same thing as @LaBlue0314, I even have a restaurant across from the festival grounds in the spice district that has one whole floor dedicated to children and toddlers. All kinds of toys, a potty for them, napping areea, etc. and two tables in the restaurant have highchairs replacing some of the chairs. The restaurant is the lot that loads WITH the festival, so I can leave the toddlers upstairs while parents enjoy the festival. They just have to run over if the toddler needs to be fed.
Here is a shot I took of the kids putting on a puppet show to entertain the toddler while mom is across the square enjoying the flea market. The day I took this shot, the entire family (parents, 3 children, 1 toddler) spent the entire day at the locale. Children got their homework done while there even and everyone went home with very green motives (except energy).

For the restaurant, the base was a great venue shared on the gallery named "City Kidz" by DippyDesigns that I just took up a level by adding a few more things and the high chairs. It also inspired me and I have done similar (but not quite to the same level where a whole floor is dedicated to them) in the other two districts with festivals.
I also edited most parks to have basic toddler care functions, and added some toddler playground items with the children jungle-gym/monkeybar/swings area and renovated 1 cafe to be very toddler friendly as well. The Willow Creek Library also got a toddler wing.
Really the only venues I don't have at least one that is toddler friendly are bars, lounges and nightclubs. . . because bringing a small child to a place like that is just...wrong. - @galacticgal Clicking their portrait and choosing to bring them to the lot does indeed work, for any of the lot types where it defaults to 'sending to daycare' when you try to bring them as you travel.
Not sure if you knew this, but high chairs can take the place of a normal chair at a table, where it slides up and locks to the table. I have a few tables set up with highchairs like this at all of the restaurants (except the really nice ones where I'd never bring a toddler). You do have to move it around once your sims are seated though, if the staff seats you at a non-highchair table, but at least it saves the time of wading into the catalog for the highchairs.
I love taking my little toddlers with my sims everywhere they go. It's silly that EA defaults to sending them away even after you explicitly choose them from the travel menu, but at least they let us do the click-bring here action to cancel their silliness. - WaytoomanyUIDsRising ScoutI'm probably a terrible parent but at festivals I just let the toddlers wander about & change nappies or get them to eat random food lying about if they start going towards red, I don't take them to festivals until they can feed themselves. Haven't thought of taken them to restaurants or cafes yet, but that's a great tip with placing a high chair & also editing parks. Thanks.
- goldann25Rising Observer@Stormkeep just so you know at a Restaurant you can click on a table and it will say request table. Then your sims are seated at that table. This way you don't have to move the highchair to a different table.
- I wish we still had the strollers like we did in sims 3. I rarely take toddlers out for that very reason, it's awakward to me that the toddlers don't do much. I miss the imaginary friends, the playpen, swing, and walker add on content as well. That was so much fun to me and it was interactive. I also wish we could do more with the babies. Bath them, pass them around, take them on walks if we had the stroller, place them in a baby swing.
- They need to add strollers soon! Hope it will become a patch item, since we already got one GP and one SP dedicated to kids.
- Well, while we are waiting we can download some clothes inspired by someone I have never heard of before...at first I thought it was a Disney tie-in with the little mermaid. Can anybody remember that horrible Katy Perry pack they put out in Sims 3?

Which one? There was the Katy Perry edition of Showtime & then Katy Perry's House of Pain (occasionally known as Katy Perry's Sweet Treats). And then wasn't there some tie in with TS2? At least I had heard of Katy Perry, although only negatively as a result of her blatantly ripping off J-Pop. Although to be fair I'm out of touch with modern tween music, I hadn't heard of Ariane Grande until the Manchester Arena Bombing (and she seems to have handled that terrible situation admirably). - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

That's what I have done, mostly in wedding venues where I know a toddler will be coming. I tried putting them and high chairs in restaurants, but I wasn't allowed to bring them there. After I tried and failed I haven't tried again, although I vaguely recall someone saying I could click on the toddler's icon and bring them to said location. Perchance, I'll give that one a try in the future.
