Does a DJ automatically spawn in a nightclub?

Some times they do and some times they don't. I've noticed that the community lots that I place from the gallery onto an empty lot will not spawn neither a bartender or the DJ. Those I have to have my sim hire them, even though my sim does not own the lot. But if the lot was there when you started the world, it should spawn a DJ player.

I've always had a DJ spawn, eventually. If you hit nightclubs at inappropriate hours, it's slow to happen.

Thanks LaBlue0314 and luthienrising; that helped. I wondered if the Karaoke Bar/Nightclub I made for San Myshuno would spawn a DJ if I designated the lot as a Nightclub. I thought it should spawn the DJ and bartenders. I figure I don't need any personnel to run the karaoke machines.

Sounds like a bug. May sound dumb but have you checked if you have any mods causing that? If you don't have any mods, have you tried a new save game and test to see if the issue is there?

Also, but have you checked to see if they're just lurking by the front of the lot? I see this problem a lot with DJ's and baristas. Sometimes it takes what feels like forever for them to get to their jobs.

I've hired them and they don't always show up. It can be really frustrating.

NPCs like this are tied to the object. So as long as you have a DJ Booth on the lot, and it's the proper Lot Type (like Nightclub), the DJ NPC should spawn.

Most of the time they do. And sometimes they take FOREVER to get there....almost when it becomes day time and there is no more need for them to show up......slackers

I think they're supposed to as long as you have the proper setup but for me I don't always see them especially if I'm the only one on the lot at the time. Usually when other sims to show up they do too.
