Does any of it matter? Pet sickness.

Read that pets can only die of old age, so shouldn't you just wait out sickness? Playing vet is fun, going to the vet is an awesome feature. But I.D.K. How many times my sim has ran odd jobs to save a sick pet. Is it really not important. EDIT: Made easier to read.

  • It does not really matter, but I don't like the illness system. It should have an order medicine like Sims so you can opt out.
  • I always buy about 15 wellness treat and then after the fist vet visit I use those.
  • Yeah, they can't die from the illnesses, so you're really just going through the motions of pretending it matters (in the sense of dire consequences).

I absolutely hate this....this is the perfect example of why TS4 has problems. Nothing really matters. I really wish they went back and "fixed" these. Adding consequences to features of past packs would make this game a lot better.
  • They can't die from it, but I get tired of seeing all the sick pets walking around so I downloaded a mod to stop that. For my own pets I just hit the vet office once to buy wellness treats.
  • I don't think pet illness makes much of a difference, except making a mess all over the place making my sims tense or what not, depending on their traits, I guess. If I ignore a sick pet it will go over in a day or two. I avoid adding pets to my households, because when playing rotationally, they are sick nearly all the time. I buy 50 get well treats to avoid going to the vet every time I stop by a house with a pet. Wish pet sickness worked differently.
