Does anyone else think the maid is pointless now?

Ya know, I haven't seen my manly maid in a while. I better keep an eye on him. Especially after reading this thread. I can't believe a maid stole someones clay! How rude!

They worked for awhile but now I don't see them and they don't do very much.

They don't come every day either, swear its just once a week. Part timers!!!!

I hired a maid while playing yesterday to come for one day and I noticed she didn't even show up. Good to know this isn't a problem only I'm having :|

If sims was real life I'd deffo ring the maid company and have a right good complain!!!

My biggest problem with this maids is that they just stand there and do nothing, when there is a pile of trash next to him! Like do your job! And why are the taking the tea brewer! My brewer disappeared mysteriously today... Stupid maids!

Very pointless and lazy!

Maids didn't work in the sims 3, and they don't even show up now in the sims 4.

The only time maids actually worked and did their job for me was in the sims 2.

Whats up with the Maid sitting on the couch or a chair every time they pick up a book that has been lying around before placing back on the bookshelf. Drove me nuts cause I had a lazy sim who had 5 books on the floor and the Maid sat 5 times. Meanwhile the puddles, grimy shower and smelly toilet were not being cleaned and then she was done for the day and left. Lol :p

I see some of these same issues still happening in my game. The maid dumps my Sims' leftovers instead of putting them away. She even dumps it sometimes before everyone can get a serving, so annoying! Another annoying thing with the maids is every time I continue my game I am charged 40+ for nothing!
On a positive note, the maid is very helpful in a household of 4+ Sims to clean messes and mop etc. The sitting before putting leftovers away is a bug. My household Sims do that too with books also.
