Agreed. Everyone knows what they are getting when they buy the pack, hopefully toggles for occults will be added in the near future.
As I said on another thread, toggles don’t appease them. We got
2 toggles with Seasons, one to shut off blizzards and thunderstorms and one to shut off temperature effects on sims. But, people still had a massive hissy about sims dying from extreme temperatures. I even pointed out to the person who was leading the charge to have weather deaths nerfed that they could shut off the effects of temperature on their sims, and the literally came back at me saying they shouldn’t have to, because their sims not feeling hot or cold wasn’t realistic. So ultimately weather deaths have been tuned virtually out of existence, along with vampire behavior, and Murphy bed deaths (which tons of people requested making a return), and vending machine deaths were basically nerfed at the outset because you have really force things in order to make them happen. IMO, the rainbows and unicorns dollhouse players are sucking the very essence of The Sims out of this game. Like the OP I too fear they will set their lot type to Haunted House, add the spooky trait and then complain that it’s “invasive”, and “OTT”, and that they should be able to live in a haunted house without it occurring all the time.
The fact that you intentionally have to set your lot type to Haunted House, is the toggle but mark my words, they will be on here by Valentine’s Day hollering for hauntings
and the fear emotion to be tuned down to nothing.

Hi :)
some people on this thread that doesn't like seeing others complaining. It's a forum for all simmer, not our personal email. one of u said maybe they should quit the game. I have a solution, how about you just avoid those threads and ignore the posts.
nobody is forcing us to go into them in the first place.
It’s not about reading threads we don’t like it’s about the fact that they spam the forums with their complaints until the devs come in through a patch and take away features in our games that
WE DO LIKE and that we
PAID for. It’s hard to ignore that vampires almost never ever break into homes now, or that extreme weather deaths no longer occur, or Murphy bed deaths. All of which were key features of their packs that were openly and repeatedly advertised pre-purchase.
