- $21 for a cup of coffee and a danish? I could do the same thing at home for far less money, and still have enough money left over to buy this pack. :D

...no offense, but some of y'all are getting robbed blind via your drink choices. $10 for a cup of coffee?!? It better be made of gold, practically costing an arm and a leg there. Lmao
I went to Starbucks for the third time in my life yesterday, my total was $21. I only got a coffee and a danish.
Fortunately/Unfortunately it was very good. So I’ll probably be back lol
No offense intended, but ouch! That had to be a fabulous cup of coffee and danish to be worth $21. I spent $27 at the grocery store a couple weeks ago and that was for a week's worth of groceries. Granted they were really cheap groceries from a discount store, but still.
I was thinking about getting this stuff pack before I saw the live stream, but now I don't think I will. At least we can say it probably has a little more "replay value" than one cup of coffee. ;)
You spent only $27 at the grocery store for a week's worth of groceries??!! Wow. Even if I went to Aldi's, it would still cost more than that. I would count myself lucky to spend less than $100 for a week's worth.
I went to ALDI and Meijer when they were having their buy 10 items for 10 dollars, get the 11th free sale. You have to get items that have multiple servings like a box of pasta, rice, turkey bacon, 24 oz can of tomatoes, etc., each for a dollar. It's nothing fancy, but it's doable. After having my job outsourced to India recently, Starbucks and stuff packs are a little out of my range at the moment. - Hermitgirl7 years agoSeasoned AceSince it's gone there I liken it more to going to a movie. Between the ticket and some snacks it's wayy over 10. I've already played for much longer than a trip to the movie today including the drive.
Anyway I get the t-shirt thing it didn't float my boat yet either. I don't mind some recolors though. There are some basic styles that they would have to repeat. I don't mind now and then. I don't like CC that sticks out like a sore thumb in CAS so this is better overall for me.. to get the styles through the official game. All that stuff is a minor part to me and my gameplay either way.. it's stuff. I'll use it when it fits. Kitchy, cutesy, tacky or fun.. it will fit eventually cause I like to play all sorts of characters in the game. I even like flamingo's in front of my sims lawns from time to time. - Netzspannung7 years agoSeasoned AceA lot of people get hung up on the worth of 10 dollars (or the local equivalent). Cheap or expensive and even a precise amount like 10 USD - it's all relative. If the pack fits your playstyle and you will make good use of the stuff and you have money to spare then it is well worth the money. All hyperbole aside, I would probably really get more use out of a good sandwich.
I am a bit disappointed in the pack, just because I am a simmer and I like new stuff but there is nothing here for me. Better luck next pack! - I wish it was 10 usd for me. I just calculated how much more i need to pay for stuff pack from my country. Its around15 usd! (14.68 with current cost of dolar for my country) so yeah.... bunch of recolors few items cut out of ep (and they rised prices for my country few months ago for that ep already) and one roden item that i wont use ugh i am out....
- LadyKyn7 years agoSeasoned AceThink the comment on the shirt was pretty nitpicky on there to be honest. I mean, who wants to remesh a t-shirt multiple times? The graphics are cute, but can't see my older sims wearing this unless they were volunteering at the local animal shelter or being a veterinarian or maybe wearing one in protesting for animal rights :V.
Remeshing/retexturing of items isn't anything new in sims games (chairs, coffee tables, tables, exercise equipment, etc). I just feel there should have been more surrounding children and pet's seeing as that's what I though the theme was about. No sad buff when pet hamster dies, no particular way for a sim to claim ownership of that pet. Actually would have like a interaction for a child to also 'ask for a pet'. Also doesn't seem like the child gains any responsibility from taking care of the pet. Can anyone confirm that last one if you have the pack? - minosimu_nz7 years agoSeasoned Vanguard

Dont spend $10 on coffee??
how about tea?
Cost about $NZ 15 in my country, for that price I could buy a really delicious cup of ethically sourced organic coffee (New Zealand coffee is way better than American coffee according to a friend who studying at an American University and who is really missing it) AND something really delicious from the cabinet like a salmon quiche AND I would be buying it from a local company with impeccable ethics who give back to our local community and overseas. But that wouldn't be an everyday purchase more something to treat myself.
Coffee is not really a USA product. Perhaps her University is just bad at making coffee.
I'm also on exchange in the USA and I can testify that the coffee both at my university and around town is not as good as NZ coffee ;) The one good thing is that you can get a ginormous sized coffee for relatively cheap!
On topic, how dare they re-skin objects! - It’s usually around 5-6 dollars for a cup of fancy coffee here. I splurge once and awhile but usually I just make normal old black coffee in a drip pot.

Pretty much.
