I am once again asking for people to stop asking for things to be nerfed in this game.
And I'm once again asking people to stop forcing their gameplay on everyone and asks for things to be optional (adding festivals notifications toggle in gameplay options)
What's so great to you, is SO annoying to others.. - graventh84 years agoSeasoned Ace

Yes please make it possible for us to disable festival notifications if we don’t want to see them.
In the meantime, I am in need of a mod to turn off the festival notifications that came in SE. I have mods to disable the rest already.
Where did you get the mod to disable the others? I googled and only find one that disable CL festivals and its not updated, I want one that disables snowy escape notification too.. - Beardedgeek724 years agoSeasoned Ace

Yes, it's so anoining. I'll have my sim live in Forgotten Hollow or some unrelated world & my sim would be invited to one of the Sulani Festivals, the City Festivals & the Snowy Escape Festivals at the same time. It's so d.u.m. :s
...Again, it's the opposite. You need the notifications the LEAST if you play IN the pack they belong to. If you chose to never t ravel to another world that is your choice, but it is one HUGE benefit of Sims 4 compared to Sims 3: To freely move between worlds at any time.
To argue that the devs should destroy that benefit is indeed "D.U.M". - graventh84 years agoSeasoned Ace

It's a huge benefit to YOU but it doesn't have to be for others, I have all the EPs and I get 497857 notifications every hour or so about repetitive lacking gameplay festivals in other worlds, it immersion breaking to me and I CAN'T turn it off, no mods even for it..
I didn't ask EA to remove it without making optional, it should on by default but also you have a choice to turn it off so other people than you can enjoy their game too.. - JanuaryGarnet084 years agoSeasoned Ace

I like the notices too, though I'd rather have them appear on the calendar as events (or both) I almost never get notifications about Sulani festivals, though. Even when I'm living there."Sketch793;c-17812769" wrote:
EA please DON'T stop the festival notifications. My Sims are not restricted to the world they happen to live in, they are free to travel to any of the residential worlds at any time, and therefore are interested in knowing what's happening in all those worlds.
Sulani festivals didn’t come with notifications because of all the complaints about the City Living festival notifications. I have had Island Living since it released and all that time I have only ever attended 1 complete festival from start to finish because by dumb luck my sim happened to be on the lot as it spawned otherwise I either miss them entirely or catch them as they’re mostly over, so I agree with Sketch, please DON’T end notifications because I enjoy taking my sims to festivals very much and without notifications would have no way of knowing when they are. - Without notifications I can't know when these festivals are happening.

The notifications don't bother me too much, they only pop up up in the corner so I just ignore them. I would rather have them there than not because otherwise I'd have no idea when a festival was happening and once in a while I might want a Sim to go.
I like the idea of festivals appearing on the calendar but people who don't own Seasons would be stuck without the information if it was changed. So I think it should be left the way it is.
The other problem with it being on the calendar, some of us forget to check it regularly … I only think about it when I know I scheduled an Event. :open_mouth: - Beardedgeek724 years agoSeasoned Ace

I can respect the wish for a switch, but to outright argue that being able to move between world isn't a benefit is just false. OBJECTIVELY false.
It's like playing a shooter game and arguing that having a choice of weapons isn't a benefit, because you, personally, only use a single one. - Simburian4 years agoSeasoned AceThey do tend to turn up when you are busy but I don't mind them. I just cancel them because they are also kept in the message list and you can visit them later if they are still going on .

Moving between worlds is nice idea that gives more freedom and optional, some people like to stay one world like playing in sulani, all island world away from other worlds thousands of miles so it's weird to keep hearing about a snowy faaar world festivals, cuz some people like to play as much reasltic as they can..
Realistic players make a huge chunk of sims players honestly..
