- Eaten 2 and nothing happened. to fertilize after u click on plant to water click on it again and if u'r high enough in gardening skill, it should come up fertilize and give u a menu scroll until u c the fertilizer and click on it. But a word of warning, wait to fertilize, when I fertilized right off my tree grew fast, my sim evolved it and the tree died.
- @StilleWater Thank you very much. My sim is a level 1 in gardening so that makes sense on why she couldn't use the fertilizer.
I was scared to eat the growfruit. I thought it had a connection to the aliens and may produce alien babies or that it would have a very negative affect on my sim. - Hermitgirl10 years agoSeasoned AceMy sim ate superb level growfruit.. I spliced it to a superb level plant and gave it a try. He just got a happy moodlet from eating a harvestable. I was hoping for something more major but not so far.
- Hermitgirl10 years agoSeasoned AceI just read what @StilleWater said.. I didn't have any problems using fertilizer as soon as the action was available.. are you sure you didn't take too many cuttings of the tree? That can kill it.
- iamsweetmystery8 years agoSeasoned AceWhile you can eat the Growfruit, it's not surprising its lack of effect. Its main purpose is for the Spring Growfruit Challenge (which may or may not be available this year.) If you give Jasmine Holiday 20 of them and at least one Perfect Growfruit you will unlock two new planters from the Build Mode catalogue. Otherwise, they're likely nothing special. Jasmine is the one obsessed with them. It does, however, have one other use. If it's in your refrigerator, it can still be applied randomly to a recipe that calls for "Any Fruit". I have about 100 Perfect Growfruit, but that's just me buiding up quality foodstores so I don't have to deal with it for a long while. I'm doing the same with ordinary plants too, like Tomatoes, Potatoes, Strawberries, etc. Strawberries and Carrots are especially important as they can be used to influence the gender of a baby durring pregnancy. Eating Strawberries and listening to the Pop station every day will increase the odds of girls, while Carrots and Alternative will increase the odds of boys. The food part of that trick as been around the Simsverse for some time (though I think it used to be Apples that made boys in older games). You'd need to eat at least 3 Strawberries or Carrots per trimester and listen to the proper music for at least 2 or 3 Sim hours for best effect.

I'd say your mind is playing tricks on you ;) I remember watching a video where the YouTuber was saying "glowfruit" and then he realised that it's in fact a GROWfruit. To be honest, "glowfruit" is a rather fitting name since it glows so much."collegemommaof3;c-16247820" wrote:
how do you get growfruit
I got mine at the ranger station store in outdoor retreat.- iamsweetmystery8 years agoSeasoned AceFor those willing to cheat, you can use the code "bb.showhiddenobjects" to get Growfruit. As for so-called "glowfruit", GalacticGal may be mixing it up with Glow Orbs, a round orange fruit you get while visiting Planet Sixam. Those who have gotten the Sims 4 Seasons Expansion, you can now get Growfruit, Magic Beans (from the PlantSim Challenge), and other rare plants from Uncommon and Rare Seed Packets, available from clicking on the Planter Boxes. Some are easier to get than others, but I've even gotten a few Death Flowers from them.
