- SennaWales6 years agoRising AceNo, and it's not recommended too, because you won't get into the distinguished degrees.

I have done this cheat multiple times and I've noticed otherwise. It immediately does the application process (your sim will receive the acceptance letter through mail) and depending on your sim's skills you can also get a distinguished degree. Though one thing you can't do is boosting the chances (with money, fame, or alumni connections). - Sketch7936 years agoSeasoned AceYou could move onto an empty lot and leave it empty. You'll get all your money back that way, except what you've spent on food and such.
Of course, I would recommend buying a house and staying in it while your sim is at university. Off-campus housing works much better than university housing in my experience. - Simmerville6 years agoLegendYour sim will face a tough time at UNI - first they would hardly get scholarships and will probably not be able to choose from all subjects (at least not distinguished degrees). A sim should build some skills *before* going to Uni. So, I would never bother to send a totally fresh sim there.
- GalacticGal6 years agoLegendI use MCCC to give my newly created Sims skills. ;)
- SEREFRAS6 years agoLegendDoes anyone know if they fixed the probation/suspension bug?
I had a sim with the skills of Handiness, Logic, Programming, Research, RocketScience & Robotic 10, completing all her homework & assignments but got a probation.
Another one of my sims who had only the basic skills in level 4 that also did all her homework & assignments got a suspension.
I don't use any mods. I did a full repair of my game. And have avoiding my sims from ever going to University because of this problem.
I've also used the codes to give my sims certain degree traits.I still wish there was a way to properly play the University. - Simmerville6 years agoLegend

I am not sure, but I think UNI counts your sim's skill build, not their level number. So, if all skills are 10 when entering UNI, your sim will build 0 skills, which the game might see as a bad effort. If my assumption is right, your sim might be better off by building skills that are not needed, just to build some skills ;) Don't know, just thinking that most sims go to UNI to add to their skills. - HopeyStarr6 years agoSeasoned AceI read that visiting office hours and emailing professors helps a bit. I used to have this problem and it was super frustrating with sims I knew were doing all the work.
One time I emailed my professors 2 days before classes ended and they said my sim was on the cusp of failing a particular course. So I had that sim study until they got a confident moodlet, hand in outstanding work, and they were able to finish the course with an A.
-Get to class on time (take notes)
-Strive for 'Outstanding' on all work
-Visit office hours
-Email professors
-Study like crazy, especially in courses they say you're nearly failing
If worse comes to worse you can seduce your professor and iirc ask for a boost to your grade that way.
Edit: Oh gosh. :grimace: I forgot I was answering a question posed later in the thread rather than the op's question. My apologies. - I wish but no. That's why I only do like a cheap starter house if I want them to live in a dorm. But now I'm just having my Sim do university from home.
