I'm really enjoying the game. Magnolia Promenade looks lovely and I'm really enjoying the police career so far.
However there are still some things I would like you add. I would love it if you guys had added the ability to lock doors by now, especially if want to create a second home above our businesses. Also I would like it if there was more to the retail system. It still feels a bit stripped down. You have been trying to be more modern, but even now most shops still make you go to a register to check out once you pick up an item, and including things like shopping bags would really add to the immersion.
I'm also disappointed that you guys didn't bring back the burglar NPC yet. Having to worry about your sims getting robbed actually adds more to the game, and there really should be some more randomness in the Sims 4. - BryonyRae10 years agoHero (Retired)I have been spending most of my time on photography so far - so excited to have it back, and to be able to place the photos I take in my builds. It's great to be able to select the size of the photo, orientation, filters and so forth on the fly! However, I do have some suggestions for improvement. A couple were already stated, but it doesn't hurt to re-emphasize, I hope.
- Let us choose the frame color for paintings & photos (also a choice of frame style would be nice)
- Let us tilt the camera (in camera man mode also). I think the hotkeys used to be shift-a and shift-d.
- I know it's not realistic in terms of what you could do with a camera in real life, but I'd really like the ability to use E and S or the mousewheel as we can in camera man (TAB) mode, in order to raise or lower our height for photos. This would enable us to get better pictures of world landmarks and avoid obstacles (such as high fences) that may get in the way of our pictures. Since we don't have open worlds anymore, it can be hard to route the sims to a spot where we can get a good picture.
- Let us enlarge sims paintings and photos. Right now they won't scale the way buy mode paintings and wall art do.
- If we are not going to be able to enlarge them, then please increase the size of the photos. To me, the large seems like a medium, the medium a small, and the smalls are tiny! I spent a lot of time painting prior to this expansion, and I'd really like to see photos that have the same size options.
- Please increase the number of sims that can pose for photos, and make sure that all age groups can pose together.
- Let the photographer select from available sim poses (bonus - if the pose involves two or more sims, have some available poses that engage the two, such as a hug, kiss, peace sign behind the head, etc.)
- Please let us zoom in and out further than the current limits.
- Please increase the value of photographs across the board, but there should especially be a difference between shots of different quality, i.e. an outstanding photo should not sell for the same price as a normal photo.
- Could we improve the quality? I wasn't expecting the clarity we get in our screen shots, but I do think it could be better than it is. I did a lot of photography in Sims 3, and the quality was much better.

4/9/15 - Edited to add a couple more requests. - Let us choose the frame color for paintings & photos (also a choice of frame style would be nice)
- I'm sure it has been mentioned before but it can't hurt to say it again. Please add the ability to lock doors. Also, I would love to see an update with new retail based whims and aspirations.
- I got a bug with the photography system. No matter what picture settings I chose, the photos would just come out as horizontal small pictures. I have restarted the game and that has fixed it for now. Otherwise it's been a great expansion so far : )

If you played the game and found it to be lacking, that is an entirely different matter. To not even try it for yourself, though, and then criticize a product that you have not play tested (and thus do not have a balanced perspective of what all is offered) is absolutely absurd.
Really? I disagree.
The thing is: you can't. You can't review something you have never experienced. It's biased. People in France say the worst things about the United States and Americans. I had a bad impression. When I had to go to San Diego once for work, everyone was kind and lovely to me and the city was beautiful. So, my experiennce was very different from other "reviewers".
But the OP was noting the facts of the expansion and they do mar the fun and gameplay for myself so I have to agree with all that was said.- Possible bug: I traveled (2 sims) to my MP bakery around the time my maid shows up, and it appears she came along for the ride. She started to clean up, including dumping the baked Alaska I had put out to lure customers. She stayed until I dismissed her.

We're talking about a game here, not a country. There's so much you can do in a videogame and like I said, I already watched countless gameplay videos and read all sorts of reviews and I know what this game has to offer. It happens that there's a lot of things that are game breaking to me, therefore I chose not to buy the EP yet and make a comment in the hopes EA will fix some of those things so then maybe I can consider buying it. Just because I didn't play the EP it doesn't mean what I said is invalid. The points I wrote are facts, they are things that happen in the game and/or are missing. This is a feedback thread after all, they can only improve with what I said. I'm sure there a lot of good things this EP has to offer, those who played it are welcome to post them. But I wasn't giving a full review of GTW, I was only stating the things that I've seen/heard that I'm not happy about, that I think need work.- susanleona10 years agoSeasoned AceHave tried out the retail stores and the scientist career so far. The stores are almost the same as the sims 2, except for minor details, but I do like the fact you can have an upstairs area for yourself. Just love the scientist career and am looking forward to trying the other two. Still waiting for that alien abduction or to see aliens in my towns.

I haven't bought GTW yet and I'm not sure when/if I will. I was waiting on reviews because I was concerned with some things and now that I've read people's opinions my interest in this EP is quickly fading away. Here's a few things I've read that left me disappointed:
In conclusion:
I think I'm going to wait and see if you change/fix some of these things. Otherwise I don't think this EP is worth 40€ with so many things broken/lacking.
Thanks for your post. I would like to remind everyone to read the OP before posting in this thread. We are seeking feedback from people who are playing Get to Work. We want to understand what you are enjoying, what you think is missing and generally provide feedback on your gameplay experience.- bluzkat10 years agoSeasoned Veteran

I really love the detective career
i really hate that we cant restock from our inventory. its a shame we have food or copies or what ever in our inventory and still have to pay to restock.
In the real world of business we have to pay for restocking. Makes sense to me that we would do it in the game play as well.
