I know the feeling! I remember my first save where I thought I had ageing off for household that I wasn't actively playing. It turns out that I had ageing off for NPCs! One day, my first Sims daughter got the dreaded call that one of her mums had died. I moved the other mum in straight away after that!

So following from last time. The 2 days mourning was killer for me, sims would actually cancel things in their que I tell them to do to go and mourn. Just before their mourning period ran out they all three mourned at the same time, as if a last long goodbye :(

(Excuse my empty greenhouse in the back, waiting for a plant fix then will fill it with harvests again LOL)

My toddler Denise ran inside and hugged her toy, I told her to go and stack blocks, guess she needed that hug though

The day after their mourning stopped. Amira made an appearance. She came in blood red and super angry, but one hug from her sweet little grandchild and by the second hug she was glowing a happy green <3

Look how beautiful that story turned out. Grandma died, 2 days of mourning, a last final mourning together, a big bear hug, grandma comes back as a ghost, is angry at first, then happy to be with the beloved family again. Only a few pictures but they tell a wonderful story ? that touches my heart. Sometimes I wish real life would be like this.

Very touching story, very real and personal. I'm another that plays with aging off, all versions. Have had way to much of it in RL than to have it in my game.

I thought it was lovely too. The mourning part was not very easy though.

I usually play aging off for the same reason, but this was bittersweet in the end ;)

The early warning system is rather helpful. Although, I wonder what "affairs" one gets in order?

I wondered that myself, I tried to complete her knitting aspiration but she still needed legendary knits. I made sure all her needs were nice and green and she spent lots of time with the family <3

I play with aging on, but there are certain Sims who really get in my heart and I am sad that they died, but it is at it is (and I want it that way, otherwise I would turn aging off). But knowing that in Sims, opposed to real life, there are certain methods to keep them alive for longer or make them come back in different ways makes it a little easier, so I rarely use those methods.

Does a Sim die in a different way? In TS2, if you got platinum mood at the time of death, the Sim had hula dancers to send them off ?
