This bug makes it realistic. The police doesn't always catch the suspect.
So far three innocent suspects have been released. Any time I issue an APB on this particular job and interview passing NPC's about the suspect they always claim they don't know who i'm talking about. Other times i've solved the crime. This is the first time i've not been able to find anyone.
