In the past I've gone back without making an arrest, put out another APB, and then looked for sims who were at both locations.
So i sent out another APB and despite the clues saying the suspect was male, a witness told me the suspect is "over there aren't they" when i scrolled across the screen, a female sim is nearby matching some of the description.
