Help with CC eyelashes

Would probably want to include screenshots of what you're seeing as well as what is 'actually' being worn by that sim - which can be obtained by loading up the sim in 'Sims 4 Tray Importer'

- if nothing else when you load a sim in that if you see anything in red, there's a problem. But if you see anything you don't recognize, it will also show the file location, and you can figure out what that something is.

What do you mean by glitching?

If you mean that the eyelashes have some kind of "texture" on them where it should be wispy, it could be the clothing item you are wearing. If it is CC clothing the creator could have accidentally put the clothing texture up too far and it is bleeding into the area where the eyeglasses go.

Of course, that is, if that is the glitch you're talking about.

It could also be a certain makeup or skin detail you're currently wearing.

I have the same problem with eyelashes that are shown in the skin detail catalog. They look like 3d color strips rather than lashes. I now use Kijiko Lashes or SClub lashes which are also in the Accessory catalog. You may just need to get an updated version of the lashes from the creator. Since you said you hadn't played in a while, maybe they updated them.

I’m away from the game so I can’t upload a pic. But the glitch looks like a bunch of black dots around her eyes. It’s driving me nuts that I can’t figure out what’s causing it since it isn’t happening with every outfit. It’s happening on some outfits that aren’t even CC. Could it possibly be her hair?

Hair is a big possibility, if you look at the template pic I posted, you'll notice that the "hair area" is right next to the "eyeglass area" on the template of where textures are allowed to go and it's possible some of the hair texture is bleeding over into it, but if you are wearing the same hair and it doesn't happen with all outfits when you try then I would say it's not the hair.

So I removed everything on one of the outfits it was glitching on. I mean everything! Clothes, shoes, makeup, hair…still glitched the eyelashes. I am stumped.

Are you using CC skins? Older skins can cause glitches with anything a Sim is wearing. CC eyes could also be the culprit.

No skins but maybe the eyes. I didn’t check to see if I had CC eyes. But would it do it on some outfits and not others? It would be the same eyes.

Hmmm...my next guess would be to check with the creator of the lashes you're using to see if they required an update since you played last. I had the same problem with Kijiko's 3-D lashes last year and never found a solution so I know your frustration. I am currently using SClub's lashes that can be downloaded from TSR. With all the updating that's been done it wouldn't surprise me to find out the new sliders, skin tones, and hair textures might be partially at fault for your CC lashes glitching out. If all else fails, delete your thumbnail cache then repair your game. If that doesn't help, check your graphics settings and see if you have it set to Low or Medium rather than High for your Sims. Also, is this problem going on with just one Sim? Or is it happening with every Sim using those lashes?

Shouldn't eyelash be under the eyeliner category? At least that's the case for me. I can still add glasses on top of the eyelashes.
