You could check what your maximum RAM memory your computer can take and add more memory to it if possible. It's a lot less expensive than buying a whole new computer and since they upgraded the game to 64 bit it can use all the RAM you have on your computer. I upgraded my laptop from 4 RAM to 16 RAM a few years ago and it's made a real difference to time needed for launching the game. Granted, I play vanilla and my lots aren't overly decorated but even the largest lots fully built and decorated load quickly for me. Also, if you have CC, you need to check and remove items that are high poly or have large file size. Also, you can check Task Manger and close any background tasks that may be running and using up memory.
