How do I download from the Gallery into my game?

There are two download icons in the Gallery. One allows you to download directly to a lot without saving to your library. The other saves to your library, and you use it from there. If you’re saving to your library, it should show up in your My Library tab. If it’s not, something is wrong. If the names aren’t automatically changing, you can manually change them by going into the cheat console and typing cas.fulleditmode. This opens up all of the locked CAS areas. Take the household into CAS and change the surnames to whatever you want.

@cyncie (Or anyone else who can help!), all I see for options is to favorite the lot, and to "Add to my downloads". Which is like this file icon. When I click on the file icon, it spins for a few seconds, then shows a little gear in the file icon, after. But I'm still not seeing these lots in my game's "My Library"? You said there were two options, but that's the only options that show for me?

@cyncie, Never Mind. I think it's my computer that is the problem. That, and I've completely forgotten how to download files like lots and sims and rooms and put them in the right files for my game, for them to show up properly IN the game *Sighs at self* But thank you so much for your help! I still dont see a second option to save the lot to "My Library", though? Ah well. I DO appreciate your helpful response, thank you again!

If memory serves (and I'm not in my game at the moment) there is a down arrow on screen right when you click on a lot you want. If you select that one, it goes to your My Library. The other arrow is on screen left, I do believe to place it on a lot. An easy way to do this is to enter the lot you wish to place a build upon, and then go into the Gallery. Or you should be able to place lots while in map view.

@GalacticGal how do I access the Gallery from within the game? I'm in my game now, but for the life of me I cant figure out how to access the Gallery? Please advise, thank you!

@Serendipity38 In live or build mode you should see a lightbulb icon in the upper right hand corner. That takes you to your library, which is the far right tab, and the gallery which is the far left tab. When you select something from the gallery to download, there is a down arrow in the right lower corner that allows you to place the lot, household or room directly into your game. This will place them, but not save them to your library. To do that, select the down arrow in the left lower corner. They are then saved to your library. You can then download them to your game at any time by selecting them, then selecting the down arrow at the right lower corner.

@cyncie Thank you for responding again! I don't seem to have a "far right and far left" tabs when I get into my library from live mode, or build mode or from the "manage worlds" mode!?! I can get into "My Library" but the only things that show up there are sims and lots that either I've made, or which were Maxis Made already.

I play with the game in windowed mode, is that the problem perhaps? Ugh, this is so frustrating!
