How do you make your Sims have fun?

I usually check the sim's traits and see if there's any trait that makes them enjoy some specific activity more. For example music lovers have more fun listening to music or playing instruments...for love the outdoors's sims i make them do something outdoors...

But my sims almost always have pets and socializing a little bit with pets makes the fun bar go up in a bit.

Computer is effiiciency. A modded game and bam, they're at full fun in a blink.

That said, a movie on a high quality T.V. does the job too.

Woohoo almost every time. You can go from empty to full bar in one go.

You got smarts. That's a good idea. Dang, I must have been ignoring my little sims' deepest desires!

@rottmeister Dancing! Perfect. I've made my recent houses so tiny though, they'll have to boogie between the dog and the fridge.

@LindsaySeddon1 Haha! Of course! My poor sims who live on their own better get some action soon then.

@Dijktafone - true dat. I have recently set up a film watching club. The only thing is I put a cozy wood fire in front of the screen, and you know what that means. But apart from roaring fires, yes - a good film is a win win. (I'm even enjoying watching some of them hehe)

Love the outdoors: Fishing
Music lover: Instrument. Any of them
Active: run on treadmill/pump iron and watch cooking shows (2 birds 1 stone)

Actually, for everyone: while eating or working out, everyone watches cooking on TV. And most, if not all my sims, end up fishing anyway.

I'll always pick something that will give them skills I want them to have. Can't remember last time any of them just played a game or watched anything but cooking on TV (unless it has been for aspiration/career). Reading books isn't efficient, since I don't think they will gain fun from skill books. So, sorry to the few bookworms I have.

I used to always use computer games but when watching James Turner's DU let's play I saw that biking makes their fun need skyrocket. So I always keep a bicycle in each sim's inventory. It seems like the most efficient solution to me, plus they are very cheap. (They can even bike at home! Wow)

If you have DU, bikes are a surefire way to get fun up really fast. I've been potentially overusing that one a lot since I got that pack.

If I need\want the bar filled right now and ASAP, then I use VR set. Otherwise I go with the mood. Sometimes it's computer games, sometimes it's fitness training, sometimes it's fishing, playing some music or telling jokes. And of course let us never forget the fun of more...carnal nautre.

With that said, it is rarely a problem.
