How do you organize your screenshots?

I organize by household. Then within that folder I organize by each sim in the family pending on who's storyline the pic goes with. If it's a group or family pic then it stays in the household main folder and I just name the pic accordingly.

For my decades challenge I have My Decades Challenge folder. Then in that each decade has it's own folder and the pictures are named by the year of which it was taken so that everything appears in periodical order.

I used to start a new folder whenever I got a new pack, but now I organize them roughly by the household and also have subfolders by real life year. It definitely took some time to go over them when I switched to this system :D I felt it was worth it though because sometimes I post stories where I use old screenshots and those are now easier for me to find.

I organize them by game saves: Ancestral; Cantrell.

My rotational play is very random. I play a family when the mood strikes or I want to add stuff from new packs to their appearance or home or do some relationship or career progression. I have played every family placed in my worlds at least once, even if Mark them as unplayed afterwards.

I have a main family though that I gravitate toward most of the time though. I play with aging off so it’s nice to play rotationally ri experiences all life stages

I tried organizing by household, because that would be my favorite way to view the pictures, but I found it was taking way too much time. Now I just occasionally pull out the Screenshots folder, label it with the current date, and dump it on my external hard drive. I'll probably just leave them there unviewed until the external hard drive stops working, lol. I pretty much just view my Flickr stream when I want to see my pictures. I'm not really sure why I even save them. Well, yes, I do know why. Because it's fun. :lol:

I wish there was some kind of 'scrapbook' like in the Sims 3 you could easily flick through to view 'memories'. I used to enjoy that and it would make it easier to see past screenshots.

I move mine to imgur, then delete what is on my computer, as they seem to slow the game down.

For the screenshots I include on my blog, I use an external program called Skitch rather than the in-game screenshot feature. This lets me immediately drag the screenshot to the appropriate folder after I take it rather than having to organize them all after the fact. (It also lets me add text, as I label the pictures with the Sims' names.) These screenshots are sorted into folders first by household, then by round. Each one is named as a simple number, which automatically keeps them in order within the folder.

However, I do end up with a lot of screenshots in my game's folder as a result of taking pictures using the in-game photography options. Every so often, I have to whittle them down so they don't take up too much disc space but I don't typically organize them very much. By default, they're sorted by date created and I can generally remember when I took a specific picture if/when I want to access it, so that tends to be enough.

I usually only take screenshots for special moments (first date, first kiss, new baby, etc.) and for each life stage. I usually organize them by generation and family name.

For example, my Westbrook family has several subfolders. There is a folder for each generation. Each generation folder has all the sims in that generation sorted by who their parents are. And inside that folder is the individual kids' folders. I hope that makes sense.

I don't keep them in my game's screeshots folder but in a folder on my desktop that I have for all my sims stuff (house ideas, challenges I want to play, custom saves, etc.)
