- It makes it much harder to complete the collector aspiration, and for kids to make friends while playing on the jungle gym (which was really the best way to do it). And yeah... gardening outside is a bit of a drag.
- InvisibleAES7 years agoSeasoned AceIt’s slowed down my play style a ton! I love taking screenshots now and the holidays are a fun thing to look forward too
- Reddestiny9217 years agoLegendI don't know about day to day it changed my playstyle completely ha, I used to play on long just so I wouldn't have to worry about sims aging up without me when I rotated now it's okay if they do as time passes because I get busier in different households. Also rotating is the only way I'll raise my tots differently they just skill on their tablets and find family members to build relationships so I really appreciate that long lifespan. Speaking of I haven't played today guess I better go do that.
- elliebreton7 years agoLegendIt's made me a lot more aware of what I choose for my sims outfits. And everything seems much more realistic now that we don't have eternal sunshine.
Wouldn't you know, I'm from the UK and made a bank holiday Monday in the Summer and it rained the whole day. Can't get much more realistic than that lol (putting aside our current looong heatwave). - Kayfaei7 years agoRising AceWhat's changed for me majorly is how I dress my sims. Call it silly but if it's about to turn into the colder seasons of fall and winter whenever my sim ages up I pick out more clothing with long sleeves, hats, scarfs etc etc. And when a sim ages up in the end of winter or mid spring I dress them in more capris shorts short sleeves etc etc. I didn't realize it but I really needed that in my game play haha.
That and as someone said it makes going out and collecting stuff a bit more harder. Gardening haven't really changed to much for me. My sims just plant stuff for every season and only tend to the ones that's ready to harvest. - ck2137 years agoLegendWorld immersion is a nice add.
I can't get into a world of endless summers. Now the world changes and I enjoy seeing that change.
I am playing for hours now.
The seasons and holidays are giving me reason to do specific things.
The clothes they wear, the plants they grow, and even the places they go.
Since having Dine Out, I only went once, which I did enjoy, but never did it again.
I will certainly have my sims dine out on Love Day.
You have the activities of the date, plus the activities of Love Day.
It's nice that the restaurant was also decked out for the holiday.

Rebate day had me holding off buying anything for my sims and hustling as much money as I could so I could buy more at a discount.
A rainy evening will make it more likely that I will accept that call to hangout at the pub and invite a few extra friends.
Also, right now my sims are in Selvadorara and it's raining.
They are spending their time in the cantina chatting up the locals and working on their culture skill instead of searching through a wet jungle. Fortunately it will be sunny tomorrow. :) - Now that my game is organized I use events. My sims use parks a lot go on more dates. I spend more time focusing on there lives and not just there career. I don’t think I can play without seasons.
- Joanne_Snow7 years agoLegendI love everything about seasons. The weather, as expected, puts my favorite kind of realism back into the game: the passage of time, the changing of the seasons, a real sense of having sims live years and then die and trying to get as many fun moments out of it as possible. By going to the park on sunny days, putting up a Christmas tree as soon as winter comes around, having water balloon fights in summer, cooling off in the pool, building snowmen together, drink a hot tea or have a bath on a cold night, take the dogs out for a walk even when it rains, doing some gardening, ... Idk I can't put it into words but it's just this type of connection to the world around the sims that I missed the most. And the calendar has magnified that pleasure even more. I've now in my second year started tinkering around more with my own holidays. In both winter and summer there's 2 national holiday days in a row: the last two days before the last weekend of summer and in winter between winterfest and NYE. I also use it to schedule bi-weekly dinner dates with the inlaws for which the inviting household prepares a grand meal and cake. I like it to keep track of birthdays and I'm sure there's more holidays / events ideas to come around eventually. Anyway, so many things to love about this EP <3
- Meka32117 years agoSeasoned AceFor me, gardening has really added a level of difficulty, as I sometimes use gardening as my Sims money-maker in my legacy challenges or rags to riches challenges. I love that each plant has its own season, so it's not as easy to make money if the plant is dormant. I've always felt this game was super easy to make money, so I absolutely love the challenge that gardening brings.
The thermostat increases bills....which is a bit too high, but again, I love the challenge.
I love the calendar as it makes scheduling events so much easier. I love to plan ahead for my Sims. & I feel that time goes by really fast in the game now. I have seasons set on 14 days...as 7 days felt too short....and the 14 days just fly by now.
I have multiple existing Saves & my Sims live in different worlds. So I feel that in each Save I'm experiencing something new with weather for that world. I think the Devs did a great job, at what type of weather will be in each world. I started playing Seasons in Oasis Springs....so I really didn't get to see much, naturally, with the desert being mostly warm weather, a few raining days in Fall, & a few cold days in Winter. But I switched over to my Save in Willow Creek & I am having a totally different experience.
Oh & holidays....they're my all time favorite. As a generational/family type of player....I think the holidays just makes everything feel more real.
Seasons for me is a game-changer. I've been playing since it was first released and I feel I've barely scratched the surface as to the pack in its entirety. - dobby16077 years agoNew ScoutIt makes the game feel more realistic when you can’t do certain activities because of the weather.
