- EmmaVaneSeasoned VeteranCurrently only 1 - Deadwater Bistro (seafood + veggie/vamp options) on Deadwater Isle. It's a great place for a restaurant because lighthouse woohoo on dates ;)
- I usually have about 4-5 restaurants in most save files. Seafood, Italian, Mexican, Diner and Ice Cream Bar are usually the restaurants in most save files.
- LuckylunayreNew SpectatorI think I have 10 or more. Let me do some math here LOL.
At least 7 in newcrest (newcrest is a business district), A retro burger joint in magnolia promenade, a seafood diner in Windenburg, an ethnic restauraunt that serves all ethnic foods in San Myshuno, another seafood in brindleton bay.
11 so far, planning to possibly add more. - mikamakimonNew SpectatorI like to have a variety of restaurants as well at varying price points. I have an edited Chez Llama with the experimental type dishes on the menu. A diner that serves burgers and similar types of food, a casual place for brunch, a fancier Italian restaurant, a restaurant which lumps in all the east asian cuisines, another restaurant which has the other ethnic dishes from San Myshuno and Selvadorada, a seafood place, and finally a pub style one that's got vampire friendly items on the menu.

I try to have at least one in each world. I may have a couple worlds that have two. They're probably my favorite type of lot to visit because the autonomy is much less chaotic than in other venues.
This is me as well.
Willow Creek: Family Restaurant/Diner
Oasis Springs: Burger Joint
Newcrest: Brunch restaurant
Windenburg: Seafood
Brindleton Bay: Vegetarian
Del Sol Valley: Fancy experimental food place
San Myshuno: World cuisine (all the CL and JA foods)
No restaurants in Forgotten Hollow (too small and dark for me) or Magnolia Promenade (I have other entertainment venies there: karaoke bar, nightclub, lounge and bar; my Sims can always grab a bar bite at one of those venues).
I like having different restaurants for the variety. I also found out that if you have Seasons plus Dine Out, you can add the Grand Meal items to restaurant menus, Sims can order and eat them and it counts as fulfilling the Grand Meal holiday tradition, which is great for single Sims or couples without kids.- I think it's 4, a fancy experimental food one, a seafood one, Italian, and a diner.
- Stina1701ASeasoned NoviceIn my main save I have about six and in my alternate save I only have 2 so far.
I feel like I have TOO many in my main save but I really like to have variety and I do have to stop myself from adding others with themes I don't have so far.
Here is what I have so far, most of them are from the gallery:
Willow Creek: A vegetarian restaurant (custom menu) where the jazz nightclub once stood. I do plan on replacing that one with one that I created using the original building but as I have just placed the veggie restaurant in the game, I'll probably do it later. The one I created is a posh (formal wear required) experimental restaurant. A nice spot for an important, romantic date.
Oasis Spring: Has two restaurants. A spagetti western themed restaurant (custom menu) and an icecream parlour (custom menu).
Newcrest: A brunch restaurant and the Maxis Chez Llama experimental restaurant (going to remove it when I put one of my own in WC).
San Myshuno: A seafood restaurant in the Old Salt House, renovated by me. The theme is the sea, the coast and the colors yellow and blue.
I do think that both Brindleton Bay and Windenburg could use a nice restaurant or two but I think that might be me going overboard. Six restaurants I think is quite enough. I do have an alternate saved game to play in now. There is plenty of room there
I would love to add an american diner (there are so many great ones on the Gallery) complete with a gas station pumps. I am also partial to a mexican themed one and even a french themed restaurant. I also have an idea of renovating the Brindleton Bay bar (by the docks) into a pirate themed restaurant.
My alternate saved game has a barn that is a diner (custom menu btw) in Newcrest and my experimental one I mentioned above in Willow Creek that I created out of the Willow Creek Jazz Night Club. This saved game is very young and doesn't really have many community lots other than those that are shipped with the game. - rpk333236New SpectatorI have six currently.
Willow creek has a custom Asian restaurant that replaced the gym.
Oasis Springs has a Selvadorada themed restaurant that replaced the bar.
Newcrest has a fancy Italian restaurant.
San Myshuno has an experimental restaurant the replaced the lounge.
Magnolia Promendade has Chez Lama, but I havent used it in forever, I think it's time for a change.
Granite Falls I replaced one of the cabins with a pancake house/country style restaurant.
I used to have a diner and a sushi styled restaurant, but for the moment they are in the library. - moxiegraphixRising NoviceI usually have somewhere between 5 and 8. I love having a variety of restaurants from really casual to really fancy. LOL I have a problem.
- joleacoSeasoned RookieNewcrest (Fancy Experimental)
Magnolia Promenade (Diner)
Windenburg (Bistro)
San Myshuno (Italian)
Brindleton Bay (Fancy Seafood and a Burger Joint)
I might also add one to Valley Del Sol soon.
