Wow, you guys are good! With more than 3 Sims I am totally overwhelmed :D. Not to mention the pets.
It does depend on the ages too -- I usually wait to have a second child until the first one ages to the child stage because the child can help entertain the toddler and even fill some of their own skills (like playing dolls with the toddler helps both the toddler Imagination and the child Creativity). Then when the oldest hits teen I'll have him/her get started on cooking skill quickly so he/she can help with the cooking, especially breakfasts if I've sent the adults out the night before and they're sleeping in. (I also keep leftovers in the fridge as well as the quick meals.) I'm trying to get my teen through a Distant phase -- he gets tense because he wants to get away from the family.- So you all that play the Sims 4 with 7-8 sims - what do you do when you decide to travel with one of the Sims somewhere - like on a date or go to a festival or night out? As the minute I go along with one sim somewhere - not a single sim left in the house will keep doing any of the things I left them doing - and to me that makes big families and households rather useless. Home work doesn't get done, sims do not take their baths, go to bed even if they are in the red - absolutely nothing gets done, they don't even eat. I am a player that loves to go places with my sims and do not feel like bringing everyone. I expect the ones at home to finish what I assigned them as I am off with the one sim somewhere getting their life and future on track. But not once do sims at home do what they were left to do, never mind care for their selves.
Maybe if I was a player that never left the home lot is the only way that would be possible. That is not the way I play. My sims like doing things and I like going with them - as in real life I can't - I am the one always left home. So I live vicariously through my sims - but unfortunately I cannot have big families and live through selected sims too. - No more than seven, because I usually have my sims have a lot of children. I can barely handle 5 kids (and I mean barely). If it's over 6 household members total, then you can assume I will be using cheats.
- I could handle 8 if I wanted to, I just don't want to.
- fruitsbasket1007 years agoSeasoned AceI love to play a full house and would even be happy with one or two more.
- 8. I think almost every household I have in my game has 8 sims, though usually 1-2 are pets which don't require much time put into them anyway. I guess in a way that means I can only really handle 6, but I do have this one house of 8 all of which are humans, and it's literally my favorite family and I can handle all of them fine so I'll still go with 8.
- Usually I can handle up to two adults/young adults (i.e. the parents), 4 kids/teenagers, and a pet. Any more than that
and it becomes too chaotic for my brain to handle, with all of the bugs there are in the game at the moment. - Any more than 3 and it feels like work.
- I really think it's the toddlers that get. I love them and all their adorableness but lordy they are A LOT of work!
- Every single time I go past 4, even if by accident with the 5th sim being a twin, I end up quitting very soon after.
