While I still think they could have been more careful to make sure that all of them were working right and not just 3 styles, the bug is also very easy to miss and the nails work with most of the clothes. With as many CAS items there are, that's a few hours of testing right there.
To speak more on it. I think they made the textures for the nails bigger then they needed to be. Now I haven't actually gone into thesims4studio to check and see how large the textures are for the nails but seeing how much area get's affected for the items that are affected I it looks like so. The nails are so small that personally I don't think they need to be as details or clean.
