My sim has composed her first song. I've received a notification saying that i can now license the song using the mail box. But the option isn't showing... should i do something before clicking in the mail box?

I have been reading and it seems that the song is in the inventory and i should click there instead... tomorrow i'll check it.

Also, if i remember right, the level requirement to license song is higher than the one the game tells you. You would probably need to level one or two more levels until you can actually license a song.

You need to be level 8 to write it, but level 9 to license it I believe.

Yeah, this has confused me too. You should be able to click on the music thingy in inventory and send it to license company or something.

@BookBear and @Tantalus have it right. You have to be skill level 9 to license a song. The option won't show up until you level up.

I'm level 9 on piano but i haven't had the time to play yet. It wasn't showing but i'll see if i can check it again tonight.

Ohh i didn't know about that... so, at least, 3 more weeks to fulfill that step...

You have to be level 9 to license a song. Then you click on the mailbox and the option will appear. If you have more than one song, both titles will appear. Click the one you wish to license. Hope this helps. :)

Last time I fulfilled this aspiration, which was fairly recently, that step wasn't functioning. Totally frustrating as it takes time for a Sim to write a song. If you license the first one and you never get a 1/4 on that step, it's likely still broken. I used MCCC to skip it. It's been broken for quite some time.

I've played a bit today and find out i was only in level 8. Now im already at level 9 and i got the notification that i'm able to license songs. The one's i wrote while at lv 8 aren't in my inventory though... tomorrow i'll try to license them by clicking in the mail box (i could only play for about 20 minutes today and it was my sim's birthday so i haven't tried yet).
