I hope they add new spells to realm of magic.

Well Points can only be used on perks, not spells.

Unfortunately, I think they're going to move on from the topic of magic, to another supernatural, Hoping for werewolves!
I just wish the different packs, each contributed a new spell. But I guess mods will do...
Someone made a mod, Tome of Climatio, teaches the caster to change the weather/season at will
and a Vampify to turn others into vampires, but you have to have maxed the vampire lore to unlock the spell.

I agree, I hope there will be more spells here and there along the way too but...

The only way we'll get new spells is with mods, unfortunately. We just have to make sure Maxis knows what we want and expect from the game, so that if they make Sims 5, they will make it better.

It would be nice if new spells would be added with new packs as a sort of cross pack options. Like a new spell meant for a new occult if we are lucky enough to get one.

But I think chances are very low. My hope for new spells is on the modders. I am very happy with the weather spell, Climatio.

I would love to see new spells too but I think before they add more spells and a new supernatural they need to fix the ROM bugs first.

The on the subject of spells would love to see them bring some of the more hilarious spells from the sims 2 and add a few of their own unique ones that aren't based on just needs and cleaning. Would love to see the ugly curse be turned into a mischievous spell.

Nope. This is Sims, once a new pack comes out the only update you can hope for are bug fixes. And even then, no guarantee on that! Look at how Dine Out is still f'd in the A. Once EA releases the new pack Realm of Magic will be forgotten by the devs and if you're lucky they'll fix a bug or two down the road, but like I said, you better clutch that lucky rabbit's foot!

if you want new features, modders are the best we can hope for, they do a great job

They may add a spell with upcoming expansions like they add new food or radio stations but right now mods are the only way for new spells or effects.

1st fix Realm of Magic, then add new stuff.

I feel in the past they have added and also changed features so it's not completely out of the question.

Before Seasons came out they revamped Gardening and with Island Living they revamped Fishing/Swimming

And I feel in both examples those were made into vase game updates. I could be wrong.

Those updates were all overhauls as part of the pre-patch before the packs themselves. That meant everyone regardless if they had the pack or not would be affected.

The only time they actually fundamentally changed the nature of a pack and provided a new feature was adding 3,5,and 10 game options to the bowling alleys and allowed for chatting with others while bowling in its respective pack, while also making the skill easier to increase. They didn't have to do that, it wasn't like some bug they had to fix or anything. They actually properly listened about the gripes with the pack and realised it clearly was not worth the $10 for the terrible gameplay there already was when the pack released if there wasn't anything done to flesh it out. After that, it never really happened again.
