- sikoah8 years agoSeasoned Veteran@HillyBeth Maybe share a bit about your sims when you post the pics. Like who are their friends? What are their traits? Do they like to party? Are they already married or they waiting for their big day? What are their aspirations? Do they have jobs? Planning on have them have children? A bit more information will help everyone get to know your Sims and understand who are talking about. It will also help generate more interest in your thread. Perhaps ask a question using a poll or one that will engage others? Looking forward to seeing pics and hearing more about your Sims.
- Speaking of starting over...
I need advice from fellow simmers!
So, I feel like I have made so much progress in my game and now I just feel the urge to start over and make new choices with different sims. Also, I’ve been obsessing over the Sims that I’ve been seeing in the maxis renders that are up on the gallery and I want them in my game too.
Should I start completely over or just create a new save for a new game?
And if I do create a new save for a new game will it slow down the performance of the game?
Or is it not worth it to start over at all? - elliebreton7 years agoLegend@Jaysims I have frequently started over. But I would recommend moving (or copying) your current game save to another folder/drive as a back up in case you decide you have made a mistake and really want to go back to that game.
Sometimes starting completely fresh, with nice new Lots and new sims, is great fun. I tend to make a base hood save with Lots that I like most and then adjust that save in small ways if a new pack comes out or I want a couple of different Lots. Then I start a fresh game from that base save. "elanorbreton;c-16734675" wrote:

How would I go about doing this?- GalacticGal7 years agoLegend

Not to step on any toes, but go into the lot of the household you wish to save and bring them into cas.fulleditmode (turning on the testingcheats true, first). From there save the household. They should save with their entire skill set, to date. - Perthelia7 years agoSeasoned Ace

I make new saves all the time. I would do that first and see if your performance is impacted. If you feel like it is, you can backup your old save to another drive or folder as another poster mentioned. Carl's Sims 4 Guide has a walkthrough here: http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/help/save.php
Good luck! - Yeah, I think I’m just gonna delete my save and start over completely with new stories.
You all have been really helpful!!
Screenshots soon to come <3
