- I use a lot of those tents that came with OR and go on vacation to different community lots that are not a vacation place perse :) It's pretty fun and usable, plan to do that also at IL.
- neylajcSeasoned NewcomerI agree but we don't know enough about it yet. It may ne possible to place rented lots like in Selvadorada, even if the world is livable
- paigeisin5New SpectatorAnother Simmer just shared a way to own two lots in another thread. Without mods, by the way. Create a retail lot, even if it is a home, place a desk in a walled off basement area and place a cash register on the desk. Just make sure no one can get to it, and don't open the store/home for retail business. Purchase the 'retail lot' and there you go. Two homes you can own at the same time. I have done this with venues with items I don't really want in the main area. I hide everything in a basement the Sims can't get to, the requirements are met and my venue has only the items I feel the need to have.

Sounds super smart! Thanks! But won't unplayed sims rush to that lot as customers, making the lot quite busy? I would imagine a generic community lot could also work, your sim would not own it but it could be equipped as a vacation home, and it would be less busy, no?
Edit: Ah, customer won't access a not-yet-open retail store :) Sorry, missed that... - I would like all the worlds to have the option of being both a livable or vacation world. How this could work out is this: When you create a household and move them into a particular world that world becomes their home world. All other worlds are vacation worlds for that particular household only. So when they select to go on a vacation all other worlds except their home world can be chosen as an option. Sims should also have the option to visit any of these worlds without having to formally take a vacation.
Why I don't like the current system of vacation worlds is because they are made from a viewpoint of people who have grown up in big cities/American suburbs. I would like the option to play as a herbalist sim in granite falls, or a conservationist from sulani who goes on a vacation to San myshuno. - keekee53Seasoned Newcomer

I actually think this should be easily achieved by just adding a new lot type to make all worlds vacation\livable. I hope in the future they will add a resort lot type and then we can plop them down in any world. Here is hoping we get some type of hotel management game pack. At this rate we will have to hope it comes next year because this year seem pretty much planned out with Magic and Moschino.
I think Granite Falls and the Jungle are probably stuck as destination worlds at this point. "WorkFromHome;d-960259" wrote:
I'm so happy we are getting this EXP but I was gutted when they said you can only live there.
It would have been cool if you could also go on vacation there and owning another house (holiday home) or staying in a Airbnb or something like that.
I just hope you can get a tan/sunburn in other worlds.
I was hoping too, that if you want you can live or just visit for a couple days in hotel. Yea, they could add hotels in this EP otherwise it is just game pack looks like :( So, it is just new world, and new water activities, nothing more.- If you're OK having a mod for hotels, I've posted a run down of it here:

I am hoping a modder will make a few changes and allow us to use the rental lot trait to make it happen. There is a resort mod floating around out there. I will probably use that until I find something better.
I am over the moon about living in this wonderful world so l am very happy. Wish my sims could live in Granite Falls as well. That said a lot trait in order to make a specific lot into a rental lot would be a lot of fun.
