I'm wondering

Has anyone built a town from scratch? I think newcrest has empty lots. Did you all like place your own hospitals/homes/clubs/bars?
  • The last patch included for each sub-neighbourhood its own badges and descriptions/stories; you can try using them to choose where each lot type should be placed so it fits the world aesthetic (hate to have modern community lots in rural/old looking worlds like Windenburg so I always make them fit the world's building style!)
  • Built a complete Newcrest with Downtown and residential Areas in a 50s inspired Style, including a Mall, Burgershack, Highschool and Park, a Laundry-Cafe, Beauty Shop, and so on... you can find it in my gallery, if you're interested.
  • @Marduc_Plays Definitely! Whats your gallery ID? Also do you have CC or is it completely vanila?

My Newcrest was empty for like 4 years until I decided to plop down some restaurants for my Sims to go to.

@Chazzzy I did the same. I have restaurants for each of the different food types from City Living & Island Living plus an ice cream parlor & bowling alley.
  • I've considered doing Newcrest but I'm just lazy and I haven't seen any save files focused around bringing it to life so I never use it
  • Yes, I have. I made NewCrest the hub for my singer Sims, so it's got venues to play concerts, restaurants —ranging from posh to a pizzeria, a Karaoke bar, nightclubs and a gym and spa. :)

With my ancestral game save, NewCrest is the Settlements that ultimately became Tennessee.
