- Hello
Come completely out of the game. Then go back in to the game and see if the issue remains.
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there.
If the issue still remains, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder. - crinrictHero+this is a variation of this bug: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2016/06/cant-change-lot-type/
Just try that suggestion. - Thankyou for the helpful information crinrict :) I didn't know that it was a variation of that issue bug.
- crinrictHero+Only found out a few days ago when someone finally sent me their save :D
- its still happening =(
- DeKaythePUNKRising VanguardIs it only happening in that house? Try playing another household to test out if they can buy something. If other households are fine, get your household to move out (sell furniture) and then move back in and see if that helps.

Hello
Try doing what Dekay suggested and seeing if the same issue is occurring in other households also.
If it is the one household, have them move to another home. Then have them move back to the original home and see if that helps the issue.
If the issue remains, save the home to your library. Then bulldoze the lot. Then place the saved library version of the home back onto the lot and see if the issues remain.- I had the same issue and i did not want to purchase a new expansion pack in order to fix the issue so I was able to fix it by just evicting the household and then once I did that I clicked “build” on the lot. Once it takes you to the house the i symbol should be at the top and in order to fix the problem you need to switch lot type from generic to Residential.
