Is it possible to move your house...

...to a different place on your lot? I know it's probably not possible to do once you've placed the house but when I go to download a house from the gallery to a lot I don't see an option that let's me place it in a specific location. I was pretty sure we could do this in Sims 3 so this suprised me. Am I missing something?

It's possible to move a house from the build mode. You can move either the lot or just the house. Also, when you place it from the gallery, you can chose which part of the lot goes where.
  • In build mode, on the tools panel at the top of the screen, look for the icon that looks like four arrows pointing in four directions. That's the "move house/move lot" tool. It's in between the folder (save to library) icon and the bulldozer (bulldoze lot) icon.

With the "move house/move lot" tool, you can either reposition just the house/building itself, or reposition everything together. Useful when you download a smaller build onto a larger lot and you want to move everything to one side of the lot, or to rotate the lot when it downloads facing the wrong direction.
