- Babykittyjade3 years agoSeasoned AceI say yes. If you are wanting another world Tartosa is VERY beautiful and a decent size. Decent variety of lot sizes. The only bad thing about it is that it seems the town area is usually pretty empty of sims.
I'm also the kind of person who would pay full price for a pack even if I just wanted the world though.
I think the wedding planning is fun so I thought the gameplay was pretty good too ? no more major bugs but you have to be someone who enjoys micromanaging all the aspects of the wedding. "Babykittyjade;c-18134603" wrote:

I love micro-managing. That is why i own games like Cities skylines and survive mars on steam..you know, those city builder games that maxis also used to do too..cough SIMCITYcough...anyways, thanks for the honest opinion. I decided i may buy it. I originally was only going to buy the werewolf pack today, but i think i buy the my wedding stories too..but im still kinda nervous about the bugs. I still have issues with laundry day and the infinitely freezing up laundry bug. I reported that bug long time ago, and the same post i posted about it is still going on here:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-LDSP-Washer-Dryer-Can-t-wash-dry-clothes/m-p/9206976/highlight/true#M139777
Im like the second person to add a report about that bug, and it is still not fixed, at least in my game...and yes, ive done a dozen origin fixes to my game. I even deleted old saves and started new games and still same bug. Some bugs in the sims 4 are just stubburn.- LaBlue03143 years agoSeasoned AceIt all depends on what is important to you, world, gameplay, or CAS items. As for me, I have never really been big on throwing actual weddings for my sims. I can count on one hand the number of weddings I have done in the game in the past 20 years. Nearly every time I just have my sims elope when it comes to getting married. To me the town is mediocre, but that is my own opinion. Although I do believe it would make a perfect getaway for sims for an added location to spend some time at a beach/vacation. What I do love is the CAS items that it added to the game.
Just letting you know if you do decide to add this to your game, there is a wedding venue that does need to be edited just a little by removing one of the wedding arches. Sims get really confused if you try to throw a wedding there.
Also, you can check out YouTube to see what players think about them, as well as see some live gameplay involving this pack. - Thanks for the help. Ill make sure to check out youtube videos about it. That is how i also research games before i buy them.
- SheriSim3 years agoSeasoned AceI think it is worth the world, but I value more worlds and lots, I would buy world packs if they had them. I love the CAS in the pack too, a lot of new dresses, some new hairs, and also the build is not bad, it has several new wedding arches, and you can make a wedding as simple or complicated as you want. There is also a new buffet table, and if you like cute wedding cakes, there are a ton of them you can make ( or buy) as well as a lot of different toppers. I think without the topper you can use the cake for about anything. There are 2 or 3 swimming areas in Tartosa, bottles ( with messages ) that you can collect, and 1 lot that is right by the beach. I think it is worth $20 even if you don’t have fancy complicated weddings.

I heard the pack is buggy, and has been mostly fixed by ea, but still has some bugs. I also know this pack comes with a world. Is the pack just worth the world itself? I have done my own research on this and wanted to know what other people think of this. I appreciate any constructive criticism.
Yes the world alone is worth buying this pack for.- I would say honestly, no. I was in love with Tartosa, now I’m barely there. There is nothing to do and shops close at 6-7 pm! That’s the time when my sims hit the town. The fountain is buggy and sims can even sit together to make out although the bench is huge. Another thing is the wedding itself. I miss base game weddings. The only reason why I keep this pack is because of slow dancing.
Also when yours sims are getting engaged they wedding conversations take over the wheel. You will have to plough through it to get to normal stuff. If you are super into parties and slow dancing is your thing, then get it. I don’t hate it or anything. I was just disappointed about the whole pack.
Edit: I wanted to clarify that weddings are clunky at best, reactions sometimes take ages. Comparing to this, base game wedding was a fire party, really. At least after patch guests sit and the reaction is positive, not some weird grimaces like they dislike my sims. Slow dancing which I like is also a mixed bag, sometimes they will just stop and the whole thing takes few seconds. Animations during dancing not always work. It’s just very, very unpredictable. - meeshwood3 years agoSeasoned AceYes, I think the world is worth the price of the gamepack. If you are unsure wait for a sale. I play rotational style and have 2 families living in Tartosa. I haven't experienced any bugs or lag with the world itself.
For what it's worth I also have had several weddings and the bug fixes seemed to have worked most of the earlier issues out surrounding wedding gameplay. The only thing I continue to experience issues with is the bouquet/bouquet toss. - Isharell3 years agoSeasoned AceI only want this pack for the world so I'm waiting till it's 50% off.
- amapola763 years agoSeasoned AceHmmm, I'm still undecided about this. I bought the pack solely for the world, and I'd say I 95% regret not waiting until it was on sale. (The 5% is because I use the working tea sets a LOT, particularly in Henford).
The world is beautiful, but it feels incomplete and barren when you actually try wandering around in it. As others have said, everything closes early. There's no real space to add commercial/retail lots, particularly in the "downtown" area, which is a huge missed opportunity. The shell buildings are better than nothing, but only just barely. And there aren't even harvestables in the world, which is so bizarre to me. Especially now that we have the simple living challenge, one of the first things I usually do with any new household is take them out to gather ingredients, which is a great opportunity to wander around and explore the world, but here's there's no opportunity to do that. The swimmable water (albeit extremely limited in location) is great and searching for the bottles is nice, but that's basically all there is to do. It's like the whole world is basically there for people to take screenshots and post them online, which is fine I guess if you're into that, but it does nothing for me.
I'm sure maybe eventually I'll work on the world a bit more to improve it, and go back to playing the one household I moved in, but for now, it's basically just a prettier version of Glimmerbrook, which I also barely touch.
