Is my Wedding Stories game pack worth it just for the world?

I heard the pack is buggy, and has been mostly fixed by ea, but still has some bugs. I also know this pack comes with a world. Is the pack just worth the world itself? I have done my own research on this and wanted to know what other people think of this. I appreciate any constructive criticism.

I bought it mainly for the world. It will suit my merpeople and my Batuu-saves. Currently my main family lives there. A sleepy little town to live in.
  • I am considering buying it too, but neither for the world or for the weddings. I want to be able to open a wedding shop with fancy wedding cakes and bouquets, and make them as hobbies, gifts, DIY weddings etc. I also love the teaset, and it will be nice to have a buffet table without having to pay for Luxury Party stuff. Slow dancing will be great, both for romantic purposes and the many ballrooms I've built that aren't as functional or immersive without elegant types of dancing. The build/buy is quite beautiful, and I can use some of the objects (ex. the barrels and barn-style stuff) in my historic saves. I hope we will get nectar-making sometime in the near future, then I can make nicer cellars with these objects.

The world seems useful for my pirate save file since it could easily be a port town alongside Sulani if I rebuild it in a pirate theme. But I don't think I'd use the world much outside of this save file, except for honeymoons and holidays. I would have to add many multifunctional community lots to make it feel interesting/useful for living or spending longer periods of time there, but even then I would have to travel often to worlds I deem closeby. I play with community lots, so worlds with few lots aren't very appealing to me. I wouldn't buy this pack just for the world, but that's due to how I play the game.

I say yes. If you are wanting another world Tartosa is VERY beautiful and a decent size. Decent variety of lot sizes. The only bad thing about it is that it seems the town area is usually pretty empty of sims.
I'm also the kind of person who would pay full price for a pack even if I just wanted the world though.
I think the wedding planning is fun so I thought the gameplay was pretty good too ? no more major bugs but you have to be someone who enjoys micromanaging all the aspects of the wedding.

I love micro-managing. That is why i own games like Cities skylines and survive mars on steam..you know, those city builder games that maxis also used to do too..cough SIMCITYcough...anyways, thanks for the honest opinion. I decided i may buy it. I originally was only going to buy the werewolf pack today, but i think i buy the my wedding stories too..but im still kinda nervous about the bugs. I still have issues with laundry day and the infinitely freezing up laundry bug. I reported that bug long time ago, and the same post i posted about it is still going on here:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-LDSP-Washer-Dryer-Can-t-wash-dry-clothes/m-p/9206976/highlight/true#M139777

Im like the second person to add a report about that bug, and it is still not fixed, at least in my game...and yes, ive done a dozen origin fixes to my game. I even deleted old saves and started new games and still same bug. Some bugs in the sims 4 are just stubburn.
  • Thanks for the help. Ill make sure to check out youtube videos about it. That is how i also research games before i buy them.

I think it is worth the world, but I value more worlds and lots, I would buy world packs if they had them. I love the CAS in the pack too, a lot of new dresses, some new hairs, and also the build is not bad, it has several new wedding arches, and you can make a wedding as simple or complicated as you want. There is also a new buffet table, and if you like cute wedding cakes, there are a ton of them you can make ( or buy) as well as a lot of different toppers. I think without the topper you can use the cake for about anything. There are 2 or 3 swimming areas in Tartosa, bottles ( with messages ) that you can collect, and 1 lot that is right by the beach. I think it is worth $20 even if you don’t have fancy complicated weddings.

Yes the world alone is worth buying this pack for.
  • I really dont use the world as much as I thought I would TBH. It is quite a boring place even though it looks beautiful and very picturesque.
I have a rental lot there for family holidays but mostly I use it as a retirement home for my elderly sims....it seems like it would be a lovely place to retire to!

For me the world was my dream world so I bought the pack for ir. However I really appreciate the dresses that came with the pack, the designs and cuts are something the game has been missing sorely. I found the old weddings sligthly more enjoyable than the new ones. They were more relaxed and less buggy, but I feel I can manage the new ones too.

The one negative about this pack is it didn't come with traditial shoulder link and long wedding veils. I'm hoping we can get those in an SDX.
  • I don't own the pack. I would like to have the world but for me it isn't worth for only the world even on a sale.
In the past I bought packs only for the world or the CAS and b&b but I stopped doing this with the wedding pack.
