Hello can you tell what was the name of that mod? I would love to see it."Simmerville;d-950181" wrote:
A sim died from old age, but when I enter the household I can't find the gravestone or urn. Do sims die on community lots or when visiting other houses on free will? Or do they always die on their home lot if dieing when the lot is not played? Is there a smart way to locate the grave/urn? I can't find it...
I remember that feature was introduced at pre-ep patch for Cats and Dogs and a guru tweeted about it. I think he said that if the game fails to find a suitable space or something for the urn to place, it will automatically go to the household inventory. Try accesing the house in BB in manage worlds maybe its there.- Release all Ghosts & Get Urn for by littlemssam, it's part of this collection:
https://littlemssam.tumblr.com/post/175412396783/random-small-mods-sometimes-mods-are-sooo-small - Same thing for me I checked the household inventory but didn't see it. Maybe it's because I moved a sim into their house before I checked.
Thanks for the mod because I've had this problem for a long time. - So they generate graves now? Last time I googled it there wouldn't be a grave of you weren't playing the household where the sim died so I was annoyed and stopped playing.
- I couldn't find the gravestone of one Sim, but I did notice that gravestones can't be destroyed if the ghost is a playable member of the household. So to recover the missing urn, I invited the ghost into the household then bulldozed the lot. The urn appeared in the family inventory. Released the ghost later.
Probably an extreme method, but it got the job done. - fruitsbasket100New VanguardDo unplayed sims generate a gravestone? Last I checked they only had one if you were there to witness their death or were playing the household at the time. Otherwise they didn't have one.

Yes they do now. November 2017 patch brought that feature into the game. If a NPC died, you can go on there home and see their gravestone and urn. Usually they can be find on the corner of the lot but sometimes it can be at random place on the lot. I usually build cementery by collecting NPC gravestones from there house upon their death- SimmervilleSeasoned AceThanks a bunch for all good input! I've not checked Inventory yet, will do so tomorrow.
Like to add that in another household something similar happened. I could not find the urn/grave. Then one night the dead sim's ghost appeared, and I kept my eyes on him until dawn. I saw approximately where he jumped into his urn, but the urn was still not seen. I wonder if that urn was stuck between floors?
For the household referred to in this thread, I've not seen the ghost on the home lot. So guess I'll need to look around town. And will check that mod, too.
